There's a classified ads forum here. We're in a similar position and I was wondering whether to post here or even just ask our LA if they know of any schools that could use them. EDIT: I've just had a look around the forum and @OllieC was after boards earlier this year, so there may be others.

It's now been suggested that we use something from Groupcall that will, from what I understand, setup meetings from online bookings, show onscreen timings and automatically disconnect. Anyone know anything about/have any experience of this?

There's a lot to get your head* around, especially if you're not familiar with Apple. Have you decided which MDM you are going to use? Thanks for the extra information! We'll use contact information from SIMS rather than pupils email addresses, although we may need to find a way of ensuring that we're speaking to the right people! We've not used Teams here at all, apart from a few external meetings, so it's going to be a bit of a steep learning curve for all concerned. Staff will definitely need to spend a bit of time practising setting up and switching between meetings. One thing I have noticed is that replying to a meeting invitation deletes the email with the link automatically and places the event in the calendar instead. At least, it does in OWA; I'll have to test with some different email addresses.

So each teacher's entire evening was a single meeting, with parents being invited to join ad hoc? I'm thinking of having individual meetings scheduled in advance, with parents waiting in their own virtual lobby. Is there any reason your way would work better? EDIT: Hahahahahaha! I'd like to do that. I was off sick for over 3 weeks back in Jan/Feb - I've never been off that long! Since then, I've been finding myself getting very tired, at times, and regularly sounding rather hoarse.

I've not touched a drop in 3 weeks!* This is helping to balance out the extra that drank while I was 'supporting small breweries' during lockdown. Looks like I may be in with a chance of hitting my target of 17.5 units per week this year after all! EDIT: *Not that I'm an alcoholic or anything!

Probably. Because viruses don't stick to termly timetables. Because it's not - unless it's an emergency, in which case I'm sure you'd be allowed to 'follow your instincts'. I can't imagine riding the London Eye will save anyone's life, though. I do understand your frustration. Please try to remember that it's not just you who is unable to see their family. Please also try to remember that, due to this virus, there are thousands of people who will never see some members of their family again. Hang in there, @nicholab, and do the right thing.

On the subject of flouting the rules, while I was walking Ciara the dog in the park, this morning, I saw three uniformed NHS workers in the park next door to a health centre facing each other less than 1m apart having a fag break. Good to see that they're taking things seriously.

I get that and I do sympathise with people who are genuinely struggling to survive, especially where Covid cases are low. However, I'm assuming @mikeprice's post is referring to a gym in the only place in the country currently under Tier 3 restrictions due to very high infection rates. There are also small business owners who flout the rules because 'you can't catch what doesn't exist.' In such cases, any related Covid deaths would be, in my opinion, corporate manslaughter.
