Anyone else unable to log in to Apple School Manager this morning? I wanted to sign the new T&Cs, but the login widget isn't working.

They're just waiting for @VeryPC_Colin_M to finish playing Call of Grand Theft XXVI before he hands it over. -

It was strange looking at photographs of my childhood home before more houses were built behind it. Then I remembered that there were no houses behind it when it was my childhood home.

If they were paid per character, surely they would also have added another correct apostrophe that is missing. Unless the shop owner actually is called Goodwyns. -

That's the one we got. Just had an allocation of 21 more laptops. I would have preferred HPs, but there's only the little Dells available. The question is, should I stick or should I twist? Wanna do swapsies?

We've just had one saying that we hadn't been invited yet, but to fill out a form if we'd like to apply for some more Windows laptops. Might as well, eh?

Coronavirus: General discussion (see opening post for rules)
StevieM replied to Dos_Box's topic in General Chat
Current guidance (although no longer law) is to isolate for 10 days. The 'don't have a temperature' is a secondary safeguard after you have tested negative on two consecutive days. It's not an either/or. You are still testing positive and still have symptoms. Therefore, you should be isolating whether school expects you to be in or not. -
Get help with technology programme - how to claim?
StevieM replied to tmoon-mint's topic in How do you do....it?
I'm trying to claim for reset costs for 16 restricted laptops and 13 new, but the form is reporting: In fact, it says that even if I just try to claim for 1 device. I've submitted them as additional devices from 'Other' and explained that 'Other' is actually TechSource/DfE. I'm claiming for the cost of Securly filtering, Mosyle iPad management, and Intune management. Let's see what happens... -

Storm Dudley, Eunice & Franklin - How are you doing?
StevieM replied to elsiegee40's topic in General Chat
Franklin was definitely worse than Eunice, here. I barely slept last night with the various clunking and grinding sounds coming from the roof. -

My 86-year-old mum tested positive on Saturday. She's doing ok, at the moment, other than a cough and being extremely tired. NHS has proposed that she has a 2-hour course of IV antivirals to help reduce the risk of serious illness, but we're still waiting for confirmation of a time. -

Get help with technology programme - how to claim?
StevieM replied to tmoon-mint's topic in How do you do....it?
I doubt it very much. The claim form guidance says: If you were able to do it all in house, then I would say that you were not eligible. If staff were paid overtime to do the work, then things may be different. The other thing to consider, and this is what I’m banking on, is whether you incurred additional costs to make the devices safe for pupils to do school work at home, e.g. remote filtering, MDM solutions/licences, that you didn’t already use. That’s what I’ll be submitting a claim for. EDIT: I agree about the guidance being as clear as mud, though. Even when I asked for clarification, the response was vague (see my previous post). -
