  1. We are having issues with a few machines not opening PDFs correctly. Error presented is: Fatal Error – acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server A reboot resolved it for a bit but then it will return. Anyone seen this? Running latest Adobe Reader
  2. Will this not add to one of the client device licenses for which the students only get 5? Will that not cause problems when student roam between Chromebooks?
  3. I want to create a number of Teams and set the permissions based on AD distribution or security groups. However a few online post suggest that although this is possible when creating the Teams, any updates to the groups will then not apply to the Team. Is anyone else doing this and know of a work around. I was wondering if a PowerShell script could run nightly to add or remove users from the Team based on the group
  4. Only if you use the Click-to-Run Outlook 2016 I believe. You do not get it in the volume license edition
  5. Define enterprise? We only need it to connect to a WPA2 network. We don’t use RADIUS or anything like that
  6. Think Chromecast is the best option. I always thought it only cast the Chrome tab but that seems to have changed now and you can cast the whole screen
  7. What are people using for WiDi/Miracast? I see the Microsoft display adaptor seems to be EOL. Although it wasn’t great it would have been fine for this role as the head simply wants to Robert his laptop to screen from a conference table. There will be no heavy graphics or video so just wondering what alternatives there are?
  8. ZuluDesk is not free either. Although pretty sure you buy one license for it so would only cost £6 per year
  9. Still very slow for several schools for us. 100 meg lines running at 3.4 Update: Now back working as expected
  10. Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain
  11. Is your firewall blocking access to the ntp server. I’m not sure which one Apple use so you could just allow port 123 to all destinations
  12. My biggest issue with SB at the moment is that the account manager isn’t come back to me. Need some pricing now for a new school and not getting anything despite sending a few emails
  13. I would look at doing it yourself although a Hybrid may not be possible. Would also look at a cutover. I know a good company for this thing in the South West if you would prefer someone to do it for you. PM me if you want their details
  14. Where are you based? You may want someone local to you to assist
  15. For £4 per user I would use CloudMigrator365 to move all of this for you
  16. Surface Laptop
  17. Probably a quick reg edit you can switch temporarily to sort this. Upon reboot it’ll switch back
  18. It’s probably the UPN. You may find the logins are the wrong format but the actually email is correct. You can change the UPN of a User and force a Sync and see if it changes
  19. Just reading up on Shared Activation and it seems the User does need to sign into the Office 365 client being it word/excel/etc. This is an issue where some users do not have an Office 365 Account. With Device Based Activation there does not need to be a user signed in for it to work
  20. The sounds alright. But now I’m confused by the difference between shared access and Device Based Activation
  21. Does the end user need to be signed into the Office 365 client for it to work? With SSO this isn’t too much of an issues but some of our customers do not use SSO
  22. I don’t know why you wouldn’t want a machine to switch user. Come into a room to find a teacher has everything open for the lesson. I need to login as an admin to make a simple change, maybe install some USB hardware, and you want to log the teacher fully off to do that?!
  23. Just did it through Group Policy in the end
  24. I am temporarily supporting a CC4 network until it is rebuilt to a Windows Vanilla network. One request is for a single computer to have the facility to switch user, rather than having to log out. Is this possible to set through the RM Management Console?
  25. When you install msi it will copy the admin to program files (can’t remember exact path within). You then copy the admx files and paste them in the c:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions or your Central store location. GPMC will then see them. But....Xbox, Skype etc will not be removable via GPO as far as I am aware, you need to use Powershell to do it
