  1. Can’t you not block the video download sites?
  2. I am attempting to move some shares from one drive to another. I used to export the share info from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\Shares, edit the file and then reimport to retain the share names etc. Changing the drive letter is not an option. However when exporting now it exports in a hex format that does not show the share path in plain text therefore I cannot seem to be able to do a find/replace operation. What am I doing wrong as I have done this in the past without issue.
  3. We have some pretty decent server that we no longer need. Does anyone know any companies that will potentially buy them rather than us just throwing away? We’re talking blade chassis, blades and SANs all of which are no longer needed due to the shift to the cloud!
  4. I use ZuluDesk at most our schools but InTune looks a good alternative certainly if the school has Windows devices they want to manage with it as well. Were you able to enrol devices manually and not via DEP? Some of the iPads at the school I’m thinking of specifically were never bought through DEP and so would need to be supervised via Configurator and then enrolled into InTune
  5. Can I ask how you are finding InTune for the iPad management? I need to move one customer and they are also looking at InTune for Windows management so makes sense to use it for iPads. How is it licensed for iPads? We would license InTune on a per Staff OVS-ES agreement
  6. Did you get it resolved through them?
  7. Anyone? From what I can tell the Chromecast is hardcoded to use the Google DNS servers but I think SWGfL block the use of these. Could that be the problem it won’t cast?
  8. I wouldn’t get one but as a School Broadband reseller would like to know what it says. Can some Pm it to me?
  9. Ah you say Refreshed. Must have been there before but this is now an updated ISO
  10. I had 1709 in December.
  11. Hi. I’ve connected a Chromecast to our network. The screen says it is connected but can not see the internet. We have transparent proxy enabled. Has anyone had to get ports opened to allow the Chromecast to work? The Google Home apps sees it OK but I cannot cast to it from either phone on Chrome on desktop
  12. Agreed! Not sure what AlanD is on about.
  13. I didn’t think was possible with additional calendars, only the default one
  14. No change, just stopped working one day. I'll investigate more
  15. Staffproxy has been working fine for a long time now suddenly not working in Chrome, but IE is OK. Just get a cannot find page error in Chrome. Is anyone else finding this?
  16. Yes. Select the column and use Conditional Formatting from the ribbon. It will highlight duplicates.
  17. This explains it nicely but yes you need to be running your schema at 2012 https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn502534(v=ws.11).aspx
  18. You pinging via IP or DNS name?
  19. Active Directory Based Activation would be best
  20. We do it in Azure. Paying about £60 per month but your Gateway costs should be lower as we have 12 schools connected. We run A1 servers to host the AD.
  21. BYOD is the hardest as there may not be a separate subnet. Some of the smaller schools won’t do any VLANs. Plus on Windows machines it’s getting the user to turn the proxy off while at home - unless it will work from offsite somehow. Just a pain as Lightspeed works well with the no proxy requirements. Although I will be glad to see the end of it
  22. So it is possible to have clients not using it via a proxy, even if that means no SSL decryption?
  23. Out of interest do you have to set a proxy to use Netsweeper with SB? With Lightspeed we don’t have to which is great
  24. If its new why don’t you just call Smart and they will diagnose it with you? It should have no baring on the projector what so ever.
  25. Yes you would need both. It only reboots automatically if no errors which is good
