  1. Microsoft told us they can’t do anything about it and it is automatically assigned through their systems. Not sure the shared computer activation allows more than 5 personal activations though does it?
  2. We do this through both Azure and ISP. Some schools out of our 12 are connected on a VPLS and the other are connected via Azure servers. The VPLS is free, the Azure stuff costs £700 per year
  3. Some LCD screens give light out the back, it kinda looks like that. Maybe the screen before had something to block the light and the new one doesn’t. The red case doesn’t help
  4. Yeastar and Yealink Phones here.
  5. I don’t quite get this. We only allow YouTube on the Staffproxy anyway so why would we want it to be restricted?
  6. I've just setup WSUS on a server for Windows 10 clients and the update folder is about 1.1TB - is this correct? I have all the Windows 10 options ticked in Products. Is there a away to get this size reduced?
  7. Don’t think it’ll work. You really need line of sight and a proper PtP link
  8. Is there an easy way to disable this default? I know it can be done via GPO but not sure if this overwrites the SWGfL settings
  9. For what use? Many PtP link will do 5km but throughout will be less at greater lengths. What distance do you need to cover?
  10. Yes, as long as you are licensed. Normally you would have Datacenter in the physical machine and then the virtual machines would be standard or datacenter
  11. The group will need to be a Distribution group or a mail enabled security group. However, the rule is complete. You need to add an additional parameter so the rule is something like: The sender is a member of ....... and The destination is External (or something similar to this) You would then create two rules one for external and one for internal
  12. %Scriptroot% is D:\deploymentshare\Scripts so your command really should read: ........ copy “%Scriptroot%\_StartMenu\Layout........
  13. Depending on the age of the device. Newer units can send direct via Office 365
  14. Create the computer account in AD first and then join it to the domain. Will then go into the correct OU straight away and got get any rogue GPOs
  15. Cortana is in 1703 onwards
  16. Dunno not a Dell guy so not sure what their management tool is like. Normally a SAN will have its own IP for management rather than through any tool
  17. Do you know the iSCSI address? Can you connect to it via iSCSI from the machine?
  18. Can you get onto the SAN management GUI? If so you should be able to connect a laptop to the SAN, Mount it in iSCSI and then get the data off. You may need the GUI in case any infinity groups or VLANs were configured on the SAN
  19. Bit harsh. Flaw found now being fixed with firmware updates. Bitlocker is very secure if you are on TPM2.0
  20. Can’t you use Bitlocker? Edit - oops sorry see you mentioned that. I don’t think it is hard to manage. Keys get written to AD so easily recoverable if you need to decrypt the data
  21. It will register against the device name. In “Users” in Office 365 we now have 400 devices listed
  22. There are some good instructions but really to do it you need to use Device Base Activation but you can only that with the Plus license as far as I know
  23. No it’s the same thing. So looks like your in the same boat as many
  24. Ask reseller to add Student Advantage licenses to your agreement. Then you get an online code to redeem. This give you the Pro Plus licenses. Then, one day, the Education Pro Plus will automatically appear
  25. Microsoft give it to you for free but you need to add the Student/Staff advantage from your OVS-ES agreement initially. I still have schools who don’t have it and MS support can’t help at all
