  1. Education Plus licenses are not the same as Education + Pro Plus If you don't have Education Plus you can't do it
  2. It is only available if you have the Education Plus licenses which you will have an unlimited number of. Therefore the way it activates won't really bother you. What services you use Office 365 for will not be affected. If you only have Exchange Online licenses then you won't be able to do Device Based Activation
  3. Which field in AD is used by GADS and GAFE to set a second address? In Office 365 we would use the ProxyAddresses field but not sure this works in GAFE.
  4. Circa £8500 for dual controller, 12x 1.8TB drives and a 5 year warranty. PM me if you wanna know where from, I know the company got a bid price for it as they are a Fujitsu reseller
  5. For exactly the same spec they beat Dell by over £2,500.
  6. The new Fujitsu DX60 S4 is very impressive. Also some great pricing available at the moment being as it is a new model
  7. Never knew that. Might try this
  8. What happened then? Did it just reboot? Do you know how long it was?
  9. Has anyone remove RM Unify on a domain? We need to move a new school who use it into our O365 domain and will no longer use Unify. Ideally I'd rather not get RM involved but I wondered what happened when a federated domain is deleted from O365 and added under another tenant
  10. So today I need to build and capture my image. During the capture I want to boot all the new machines so I can hit go at the end of the day so they run over night. I already have a TS created but I will be amending it during the day and of course changing the OS image to be deployed. If I boot all machines up to the point it asks for the PXE password, will I be ok changing the TS? I don't know at which point the machine is queried and the task sequences available get loaded. I don't want to boot them all to find that it's loading the old TS configuration
  11. Yes but the problem is when you have a special character in the model name that MDT does not allow in the folder name in Out-of-Box Drivers (i.e. a slash)
  12. Using it here on a 1:1 setup with Surfaces. About 400 devices connected. Upgraded from 100/100 to 300/1GB soon as the 100 is not enough
  13. I don't see what it matters what is in the name. What you done should work
  14. There is a working solution on another post http://www.edugeek.net/forums/o-s-deployment/69247-how-do-i-implement-driver-folders-when-computer-model-has.html
  15. Wanted to do exactly same thing today. But don't know how.....
  16. I just pre-populate the computer name in AD in the correct OU. Then if it already exists in AD, SCCM will not move it doing OSD Not the answers but another way to do it
  17. Assign 3 and 4. These are 1 and 5, 2 and 6 in one license
  18. CoinCafe is where I got mine from
  19. Nothing wrong with using Cat5e ends with Cat6 cable but it will only run at Cat5e performance. The connection is exactly the same so if it is falling out the back I would be questioning the quality of connector, not the workmanship
  20. Not for PXE as far as I know but you could create the Win7 ones for CD Media and just boot those machines from CD
  21. Not sure why you are doing that one via registry but via GPO I set mine to 120
  22. Yes it should be done on a machine basis. If you are already doing this then future logins will not have the apps
  23. Have you sent the GPO Processing time? And the wait for network at logon?
  24. Strip the apps out at deployment. Or worse case login as one admin to strip the apps then the rest of the users will not get the apps at future logins
  25. You sure the two ends are from the same cable? Don't know what tool you are using to test but normally at least one cable should be connected! Are you crimping the RJ45 correctly and your end are right up inside the plug right to the end?
