When setting up Azure AD what Sync option do you select? Is it the one that is in Preview for the SSO to work without ADFS?
-
In theory I could zip up my whole DeploymentShare and get you to download it. Then you just copy it across to your server, update a few bits and away you go.

I would look at these http://www.cambiumnetworks.com/products/access/epmp-1000/ Should get two for less than £200

94000 cameras! Wow that's a lot! Hikvision here as well. Some schools run Mirasys as the recorder, but the Hikvision DVr are normally good enough for most installs
-
Yes it can. Personally done a lot of these with Repeatit devices. Cambium are also a very good manufacturer of PtP links. What sort of speed you looking for?

Has anyone got any of the new Avanti Classbooks yet? I'm trying to PXE boot them with 2 known working different USB LAN adaptors but no joy in the device detecting them. Anyone successfully PXE boot them?

Office 365 Web Portal - Sign in behaviour has changed?
snagrat replied to ollyyllo's topic in Cloud Services
Sometimes it is cache data. Does it happen in an inPrivate session? -
Here is the way I would do it: 1) Sync AD with Office 365 to get the user's setup 2) disable sync, do not create any more users in AD for now 3) start Cutover migration. Everything will move over slowly and continue to sync with onsite exchange every 24 hours 4) Change MX records and enable AD sync and start using Office 365 Done it that way many times and works great. Can't comment on the spam only to say that you can adjust the spam level within Office 365 to suit you

AD will sync with Office 365 but will use other fields other than the domain. I would ensure the UPN is set correctly, the mail field is set correctly and force a sync
-
Doesn't the auto discover name come from the Mail field rather than the UPN?

Migration to Google Apps - lots of emails in Drafts
snagrat replied to snagrat's topic in Cloud Services
Migrated about 40. Migration is complete but this is just annoying. -
We have migrated a customer to Google Apps from Office 365 and now user's have 1000's of emails in their drafts folders. We don't need the emails but can't find a quick way to delete them all? Can it be done through GAM?

Assuming it has HDMI as we'll get a HDMI to DVI cable. May be the DisplayPort that is broken

Which ISP is this? -
Just taken on a school that have MikroTik switches. Seems to work OK so not going to touch them but currently none support PoE. Looking to add one that supports 10GB SFP+ and at least 12 PoE copper ports but cannot see any on their sites that do. Do they really not make a model that supports PoE in today's world?

It will auto deploy to them assuming they haven't had the it already deployed from another device collection deployment. I

Can I set Home Folders through Group Policy
snagrat replied to angrycomputingteacher's topic in Windows Server 2016
Or set the home folder in AD and then just set GPO to follow that. That way doesn't matter if it changes in the future, you just change AD and the next login it changes -
Yes they do. It is the Pause button on the remote.

We have taken on a school that currently use Profile Manager to control iPads but they are not working. I have discovered that the push notification has expired so renewed but iPad still not working Can I go to macserver/mydevices and enrol the device. Will this get them working?

Make sure the new install Site code is different to the old one. Other than that shouldn't be any issues.

Deploying Windows 10 with MDT/WDS - Fully Unattended
snagrat replied to Zoom7000's topic in Windows Server 2012
This shows the variables you can put into your cs.ini to skip a lot of the initial questions https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/chuck_kiessling/2013/02/05/mdt-2012-customsettings-ini-switches/ You can add Office install to the task sequence using an Install Application step. This will then install regardless if the box is ticked or not. On our setups everything is automated except for selecting the TS and entering a PC name On our
