  1. Reach out I'll be there by the Supremes? On topic. We use RM Unify and SSO and provisioning is great. We are a fair size primary so just about worth it. We may look at Azure and Wonde in future.
  2. I'm surprised they don't just buy Fido and/or Yubikey. I have used both for several years and they've been fine. With printed one-time codes and Google authenticator that covers all the possible problems. It would be great if more companies would adopt non-SMS MFA as there are many places that have flaky mobile signal as well as the insecurity of SMS
  3. We use syncbackpro https://www.2brightsparks.com/syncback/sbpro.html There's a discount for schools and it very customisable. We currently sync our on-site shared staff drive to gsuite shared drive every few minutes and it's been great. Another use case is to delete any scanned files older than 3 days by moving to the recycle bin.
  4. With UV pen as well in case they remove the label....
  5. Brilliant! Shame Christmas has just gone.
  6. HP Probook 4340 i3 with 8gb ram and 512gb SSD. Still on the original battery 1.5 hours) and no problems after ?6 years of everyday use. Some keytopsare starting to lose their lettering but good enough. Really like the 13.3 screen as it's nice and portable.
  7. A bit drastic but glue them in?
  8. Sigh. The words testing and Microsoft just don't seem to belong together do they?
  9. Can you get your laptop adapter PAT tested just in case...
  10. Agree with this. The admin console has a similar problem. On 1366 X 768 listing names you can't scroll down as the scroll bar only appears when you scroll across which partly hides the name!
  11. You read my mind. I'm thinking the same thing. We have sophos central now which has been excellent. However part of me is still thinking a backup would be good idea. We are still on server 2012r2 until October so I may stick with it for another year.
  12. Farewell old friend. You will be missed.
  13. It did for us. We had win 7 pro licences as upgrades from xp pro. We had to move to the OVSEES treadmill at a significant annual cost. We will have the same problem in October when office 2010 becomes EOL but will use Google docs/libre office where possible.
  14. Insight for big things; CPC for small things; Stone laptops and ICT Direct for PCs.
  15. I was also wondering about the masking tape, or some sort of deflector to narrow the IR acceptance angle but unfortunately this is a behaviour issue really. Maybe the offender's could be made to clean the screen as a punishment!
  16. We've added Firefox as well. Some things that chrome doesn't like are fine in Firefox.
  17. Have you seen sydiserver. http://sydiproject.com/ It produces a beautiful word doc with everything nicely documented in full detail. I run it daily as a "just in case" option.
  18. Even on the shortest day of the year with very intermittent sun we still got almost 2 kWh from our solar panels. By comparison the best days give around 9 kWh.
  19. I remember leaving one of the schools I supported and a couple of year 6 girls asked "what do you do here?" I replied "l help fix your computers". Their response was "wow, that's cool!"
  20. Only if you actually like Wham through!
  21. Our home TV is a CRT Philips 28" from 2005! Keep waiting for it to die but it's too well made and it's a decent picture for a CRT.
  22. Could it be batteries failing and the bot shutting down if not enough power? Curious that quite a few seem to be doing it though. Could you take one apart and have a poke around?
  23. Have you spoken to SWGfL as they know how to fix this from other schools. They are one of the supposed market leaders after all.
  24. Drive a steam train? Swanage railway is not too far from you https://www.swanagerailway.co.uk/drive-a-train
