Still having problems here. Our administrator has spent the last 3 days trying to do this. She even resorted to inputting some by hand, but today she still has "pending". edendred support is constantly engaged and she is getting very fed up! Trouble is, if this is not done, it will have a real effect on people who are already struggling. -

Building some more raised beds from spare wood I have lying about. Mrs southhamster is growing as much veg as she can. We also have loads of flowers which she planted earlier so the house is full of tulips at the moment! -

Thanks @elsiegee40 Oh dear, guess who our Business Manager called on her mobile first thing this morning, about an hour before I forwarded this to her..... I did say she should subscribe to edugeek! -
Look at their internet connection too. If it's slow/unreliable you may want something local. I've done something similar for a local heating engineers firm. They use a NAS with cloud sync as all of them opening complex AutoCAD drawings over their broadband is hopeless. The better NAS can host a server VM if needed

Come on @mikeprice. You're not that old. (I am similar) WW2!

A couple of my home Pcs did this. My"fix" was to turn autoupdate off, try updating and then back on seemed ok. Thanks windows 10 for breaking something that used to just work fine with win 7.

Uploading Data to GSuite using Filezilla Pro

We use syncbackpro. Not free but edu discount. Loads of options. https://www.2brightsparks.com/syncback/sbpro.html -
Try a different web browser if you are having problems.

This is me too! Used to use logmein but their price became extortionate. RU is not as polished but it seems to be working ok for me. I like the customised MSI you can send to end users to just run without hassle.

Hello all. I've been answering loads of queries from parents trying to access our remote learning setup (gsuite through RM Unify) I have 1 parent who uses a chromebook with her personal gmail account. Now, for her son to use it, he'll need to login with his school account as it keeps asking for an account if he accesses the g-suite apps. My concern is that it will apply our school gsuite MDM and mess up her account and other machine settings (enforcing logins etc) We do let staff add accounts using our gsuite MDM and it enforces device settings on iphones/android like encryption, passwords etc. Or does the chromebook keep the 2 accounts completely separate? We really don't want to managing parent's personal devices. Anyone had experience of this? We do have a chromebook at school but no chance now of getting to it now (and probably no chance of buying one either!)

Yes had a few of those. It's the digital equivalent of " the dog ate my homework" -
Hi all, I've got a really annoying problem with 1 staff laptop which I just can't fathom. The internal webcam/mic works fine in camera mode (I've also tried an external USB cam just in case..) On google hangouts/meet video calling the mic works, but the camera output is black. Camera privacy settings are all on and I've tried switching on/off/on. It's the same in Chrome/Firefox. I can reproduce the problem here if I turn off "allow desktop apps to access camera" but the camera icon is clearly disabled and "video muted" shows in hangout settings. Typically all the other laptops which are identical build are fine and it's the headteacher's with the problem! Wondering if anyone else has seen this before I start fiddling further. A rogue Windows update maybe?

A song thrush has taken to singing on the electricity pole in our garden every evening. Beautiful sound. -

We've had frogs croaking by the pond for the last week or so but I've not seen one yet. -
APC here. The included netsupport portal is good. We have a couple of Triplite and Cyberpower for CCTV and telephone PBXt but they just don't seem as solid.

Maybe the Clangers and the Iron Chicken got into the factory? (you have to be of certain age to get that reference....) -
Does it have a DVD player fitted that's waking up every now and then?

[ms office - o365] office 365 or office 2016
southhamster replied to lionsl2005's topic in Office Software
And a group policy adm for a fair number of options. Interestingly if I try to open a synced downloaded native Google Doc/sheet which has no file extension Libre office is clever enough to open it but MS office can't. -

I've had this problem but with some of the older X70 boards. A firmware update seems to have fixed it on 1 board We can test on the others next week and let you know.
