  1. yep, thats why my phone goes dnd from 10 till 7am
  2. this wont allow users to continue to work as they wish though right? as it disables their account outside of hours?
  3. if people dont want notification dont put it on their phone and/or set dnd schedules on their devices - maybee some basic guides on how to configure these? but its not really your concern a bit of self control goes a long way
  4. Im pretty sure this is 1 servers worth of licencing for the server OS's you must buy 8 2 core licences as a minimum to licence a single machine, these are only about £220 to education though total. if youre happy to use a core OS you can download hyper v server for free which requires no licencing
  5. pdq deploy has this on the paid edition as a built in deployment. might be able to recreate it with some trial an error on the free edition? it also has a 14 day trial you could use if youre quick - it will only deploy 3 paid packages though so get the feature updates in first!
  6. once every 30 days on each unique computer - not sure how this impacts sso since we dont use it
  7. no phones allowed here, i did order a yubikey thing off amazon to play with prior to ordering everyone them but theyre still trying to fulfil the order 6 weeks later....
  8. you have to press an F key to make things green for them to apply, i cant remember which one though, maybee f6?
  9. it would disable content-aware filtering efforts though. its ok though because i had an IT "Expert" tell me the other day we should be using dns filtering as DPI interferes with things too much
  10. accounts.google.co.uk accounts.google.com googledrive.com cfl.dropboxstatic.com/static calendarsuggest.clients6.google.com docs.google.com ssl.gstatic.com drive.google.com talk.google.com is my list that got it going
  11. cant you just connect to the database and remove the transactions you dont want? bit of a pain but if its a one off
  12. oops.... try $newPassword = $randomPasswordTxt
  13. put his/her code above all of yours and change the line: $newPassword = ([char[]](Get-Random -Input $(48..57 + 97..122) -Count 4)) -join "" to $newPassword = $randomPassword i think!
  14. it is a powershell script, i ended up editing it to make my life simpler moving it between schools and doing multiple accounts i know i could have used loops or whatever but its my first time using powershell! posted it here as the code thing ate the formatting https://gist.github.com/dgardiner87/7cef05013a1be75e8c431a786be6b18f
  15. we use Proactis for our order processing workflows I think the licencing is quite heavy though as only the office staff/heads have access - may be a bit more than you were needed however
  16. true! doesnt that alone pretty much make this a moot point? :v
  17. wont that also wreck the auto complete for typing names into the to field?
  18. you wont find them that low, the discount threshold is 20 on everything.
  19. i use a modified script i found on this site to send 10 guest login details to the office every day which are reset every day and resent which can be used for the staff wifi and staff use of the computers/printers minus the mapped drives and planning for the day is provided on paper i think Scholarpack has guest logins that it can spit out for a days basic use
  20. https://www.swipedon.com/ is what we use. were on an enterprise plan with discount making it cheaper than the premium subscription, costs are an ipad/mount/printer where you need them
  21. i couldnt even get hp usb tool to even burn me a 2016 iso, keeps saying not burnable. used the windows 7 usb tool and it worked fine, just had to load the raid drivers onto the usb and load them manually
  22. in all honesty i ended up shelving the nuc's and just putting the Session border controller program onto one of the windows servers on site as it uses no resources at all they did offer to refund the nucs but i said id keep them for one of the next schools we onboard since they're recommended on sites with 10+ handsets
  23. only 23 of the handsets, who we deemed mission critical have opted in for support, but yes they host and look after it - i have full admin access and can do what i like with the system though minus mess with the sip trunks and a few other bits. i'll pm you
  24. we went down the route of buying all our own hardware upfront. our CFO kicked a lot of the leasing proposals back as they were all lease to own as their selling point and not allowed for whatever reason. this was installed a month or 2 ago, currently runs 93 phones in 4 schools with immediate plans to expand further when the yearly renewals come up in the trust schools. had i known 3cx as i now do a couple of weeks ago i wouldnt even have picked up the end user support on the 23 phones as its stupidly easy to manage and could have cut the service costs down by just under a 3rd - luckily the company we went with is absolutely flexible and were only on annual commitments and the support is optional. unlike most of the other providers we had putting in for this, they dont charge per extension so i can add as much as i want to it (even sourced myself.. on my head obviously), as long as i can keep within the simultaneous call limits and even then the price jump is minuscule when it gets split 'N' ways
  25. you only need the verification info on the web/dns for the brief period of verification once thats done you can pull it. we do the reverse just fine so i would assume you wouldnt have an issue
