DGardiner replied to ICTDirect_Dave's topic in Elite: Dangerous
You guys should get in on this: before its nerfed its slow to start as your rep is getting raised but gets to be alot of cash pretty quick, on my 3rd run now in a 128 passenger cutter and my payout is 25-30m and im only friendly with 1 agent in the station -

I want to believe! i love elite i really do, but the lack of content and the need to exploit to make any worthwhile sums of money puts me off.. that and i got my imperial cutter already . -
not had any experience with it in the ip setup as ours are all directly wired - but the net2 works a treat! just be wary of the readers, if you already have mifare printer cards etc you can save yourself a bit of hastle by getting the paxton mifare readers!

at least with our Avaya system, the licences are bound to the SD card in the system so im not sure how transferable the licences are. but theres plenty of avaya places out there that should be able to point you in the right direction, depending what you need ive had quotes for a replacement controller (500v2) instead of "upgrading" the software for £500 if they can manage to port your licences thats not alot of money for a new setup!

Printer Rentals or Leasing - What companys are there.
DGardiner replied to newpersn's topic in General Chat
all the more reason to move- cant fault the repairs/service guys but the account management is dire but i think he knows he messed us around and the contracts won't be renewed with him so we've been abandoned. were in the middle of switching to United Carlton as contracts expire at least so far they've won all the tenders -
has anyone actually got the --silent flag to function on the installer? it just dies for me if i use the --silent argument. unless that only comes into play at launch, was just looking to test deployment on a few pc's

last time i enquired about this with phoenixs i got told that "loophole" had been closed
-
wow, where from if you dont mind me asking?
-
how did you convince them to buy interceptx? last time i had it quoted it cost a small fortune
-
have you tried hardwiring a pc into the vlan 220 so you can do a bit of troubleshooting there? if you can ping the smoothwall interface it should be routing ok? and the smoothwall is not accepting connections for some reason? if the clients are receiving ips from the smoothwall then surely routing isnt the problem? did you create the transparent proxy for that network?
-
im fairly certain this is not bypassable by design
-
where do the vlans route? id start at those switch/router and double check the ip helper setting is set correctly and then the dhcp scopes

iirc you have to write the full distinguished name, so based on your example it would be: [schoolName].local > School Name > User Accounts > Students > Year of Entry 17 "OU=Year of Entry 17,OU=Students,OU=User Accounts,OU=School Name,DC=schoolname,DC=local" do some testing though, this is off the top of my head, just to be doubly sure you can open ADSI edit, and select a user in that OU and scroll down to distinguished name and it will give you the path there

WebServer Keeps Getting Viruses in ASPNET User
DGardiner replied to GalaxyWho's topic in Windows Server 2008 R2
if you can i would check the code against a clean copy - sounds like some things being exploited on the web app but can luckily only interact with the user the apps running in? -
i hope theyre not just hoping to buy the cheapest access points then!
-
might wanna check they havent stealth enabled it, im sure last year it became opt out as mine got enabled one day and i remember seeing a message like that. if not thats shit, they over subscrible their dns servers and they run like crap
-
Im still using openDNS? i think anyway, i havent noticed any name resolution issues - have you got the parental control crap enabled?
-
im with bt, used to have dropouts all the time, i dunno maybee actually using the home network was above its remit - replaced the homehub (i had multiple versions all the same) and have never had a dropout since! and actually have control of my router!

Apple IDs for students and no payment card option
DGardiner replied to Jehanzeb's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
OSX Server is £10-£20 - if the place isnt wanting to commit to the contracts and tie-in a basic mac mini(if you dont already have a mac you can use) and osx server is a one off investment for full mdm, and the added bonus of caching service -
Apple IDs for students and no payment card option
DGardiner replied to Jehanzeb's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
it used to be that you had to try and buy a free app in itunes and it would then present the none option. You should really just move to paid MDM or at worst use apples mdm thing in OSX server - device assignment is so much better to manage
