  1. its the net2 entry panels/monitors that all run on ipv6 - https://legacy.paxton-access.com/docs/Datasheets/DS1055.pdf
  2. i was just about to place an order for a net2 entry panel, but this has put me off.... all of the installers ive had in all gold partners seem to want nothing to do with the networking/sip side of anything and say thats my problem! I did just ring paxton and the lady said the ipv6 stuff is only used for the paxton stuff to all talk to each other so presumably i could just enable an ipv6 vlan with no external routing for that and that any of the sip/communication stuff is still done over ipv4 is anyone able to confirm this? id prefer not to have a £1500 card reader!
  3. if the devices arent supervised the certificates have to be manually trusted again if i remember right
  4. i hate this. Office: theres a call on the line from google/microsoft/apple me: put it through caller:Hi im calling from itcompany23245 would you like to buy....
  5. We've had this argument a bit internally recently, the ability to schedule send in gmail has been really helpful. i think we have settled on the stance of if you dont want to be bothered out of hours dont put email on your device or use built in settings to silence notifications for quiet hours - this is the end users responsibility and their choice. But as a common courtesy people have been asked to make use of the schedule send when the email isn't urgently requiring attention.
  6. try and disable ipv6 on the network adapter - had a couple computers that stopped talking to anything at one point and this fixed it for me
  7. Cool, that gives me some confidence! and the perfect person to ask questions! We would be getting it installed with the rest of the kit on the door anyway, the door fella seemed a bit :/ about the sip stuff said it should be fine. Am i right in thinking i just program an address list into the unit(users/ring groups) and they just display on the screen for people to press? Specifically wanting it so it can be used to easily alert the relevant team instead of annoying everyone in the building as the main reception isn't manned often.
  8. I saw that but was a bit worried when it listed compatible handsets - Was a bit uncertain if anything not on that list would be able to release the door, and our 3cx instance is cloud hosted
  9. Does anyone have any experience with connecting these to 3cx... or am i setting myself up for a headache? https://www.paxton.co.uk/products.asp?id=011,24&strStage=product_page&strFamily=net2&strGroup=group-05141 Ive did a bit of googling but its pretty light on information
  10. this is what we do. its worked out well for us.
  11. We use google forms with some app script, after it is filled in it generates a proforma and emails it to HR and the relevant schools contacts in the mat.
  12. i had some 65" Viewsonic panels for £1350 recently
  13. if you use rsat on an old computer without IE10 i think its still viewable, preferably you would recreate the gpos using the policy preferences and remove the legacy one
  14. Safeguarding trumps both.
  15. I would definitely recommend a demo, the built in software looks like its a bit further developed and a bit more polished. install was about 180 per panel if i remember right with xma - they also include oktopus i think.
  16. i have some of those and theyre quite nice - though weve recently just done a bulk order with viewsonic and they were £1300 a panel buy 7 get one free and look to have the same featureset - though we did fit them ourselves.
  17. claim the school on google business and upload your own photos, assuming youre on about the side information bar, and they should start to favour your stuff
  18. Gig passthrough is always useful to have, but if you have rj45 where every phone needs to be spare then you can likely do without we went with T40Gs for all phones except the school offices which have T48S - softcat were pretty cheap for getting the handsets
  19. i dont use it to be honest, just remember them all having a fit over it
  20. we have this for our offices. i remember there being a big kerfuffle about VAT in the first few months as you can only claim back on sellers marked BUSINESS PREFERED or something.
  21. https://github.com/jay0lee/GAM/wiki/ExamplesEmailSettings#print-forwarding-addresses this might do the trick
  22. or the intersite links havent been upgraded to gb yet as we haven't felt the need to upgrade so we need the downstream fileservers for now... and theyre all on the same forest just secondaries. we're moving to google anyway so they will be going the journey eventually.
  23. We do this, though each school has local dc/fileserver for just incase - phones are now voip and run over the centralised broadband network - havent had any connectivity downtime since 2011? except the times i have to swap the central smoothwall etc for a new one
  24. Might have to have a try of one of those if theyre 3cx compatable
  25. some models are able to use a wifi dongle plugged into the usb on the back of the phone. https://www.yealink.com/products_116.html > Compatible with Yealink SIP-T27G/T41S/T42S/T46S/T48S IP Phone (Version 84)
