It would be nice if meet had an end meeting button for the host... Kids rejoining after teacher leaves is a problem and the using of nicknamed meetings(they close when the last person leaves) is a crappy bandaid at best.

yep, i would make sure you log into admin and turn off the phone in details unless youre paying for edu ent - someone will undoubtedly call the USA number and get upset with their phone bill

We use meet with externals without issue - if they have the meeting URL they can join AFAIK just tested incognito and got this, so it works without login also "it seems you have to accept a request from everyone wanting to join" isn this what keeps your very confidential meetings secure from prying eyes..... oh woe is me i have to accept a handfull of governors request to join a meeting

ive just checked on of ours and it gets the spinning icon and no loading video. if i view from my personal account/not logged in it play fine :S

for 1: does the file in google drive have anyone with link sharing enabled? fpr 2: try adding ?rel=0 to the embed url - this should turn it off or make it only show videos from your channel if ?rel=0 doesnt work try &rel=0

I use letencrypt for our websites, automated through cpanel. I also use it for our smoothwalls reverse proxy, thought i have to hoop jump every 3 months to renew it using a docker container on my laptop its pretty painless...

Just remember google apps for edu is free - has an application proccess i havent been through for 8 years but it should cost you only the domain to implement, if you can find a company that provides the training and whatnot as a google partner they can really speed this proccess up i found I waited weeks for my application and got pointed to a training provider who had the GAFE account approved the next day.

We issue our governors in schools @Governors.school.co.uk email acccounts they cant email outbound, 2FA is enforced. and this is the only account any email is exchanged with... might be a bit draconian but keeps control in our hands

i honestly have no idea, i have custom directories setup for all our users but the groups all seem to be auto filled, there is a mention of groups on the contacts sharing page and them being visible https://support.google.com/a/answer/60218 but i dont see anywhere this is defined?

i think that article is refering to the group directory at groups.google.com not the contacts directory
