I got an email a while back claiming that tapatalk had released a version for Windows Phone so hopefully they can get around to pulling the same Re-brand to get all of us poor neglected WP users up and running at some point.

Look through old drivers, intel has pulled this rubbish before and their first attempt at a fix was a driver that responded to the incorect pnp id even in windows pe, find out what the reported pnp id is before installing a driver that may mask the problem then do a text search in as many intel driver versions as you can find for that string. If the inf has it it should work. This depends on intel having taken the same shortcut when they screwed it up this time.

I think asus has an update utility that fixes this intel screwup on their boards, it reports the nic wrongly by default causing the issue with drivers not finding it. The z77 pro boards were the ones i found it under.

And if there is screen and input capture malware on the base machine no amount of html5 or remote desktop is going to save you, the devices need to be managed too.

I don't think sms can traverse message as it is or at least was an unsupported message type. Had to look it up when a Principal wanted them synced to an iPad, there are tools that will do it but generally require a jailbreak. You could also look at your cell provider as some offer online text reports that may include content or a service to redirect. The other possibility is malware if jailbreaked or the other party is the gov't or Apple.

Just put a couple of GPUs on a motherboard, that will give you four displays easy then it is up to what software you use as to if you need extra software to make it run four slideshows in tandum. If it is videos that makes it even easier as VLC will run four instances at once.

What's with the 'not an integrated one' for Discover GPU, they are aware that the new Intel GPU ones and the AMD Fusion ones are on a par or better than the entry to low mid level GPUs now.

I don't think that is correct, besides linux is unstable as anything under hyper-v so why would you want to.

Depends on what you are using it for, if you are using it as an iPad replacement with a lot more options then it can work as it is fine for consumption and basic editing. If you are using it as a primary machine for smartboard stuff, big documents and movies etc then it needs a propper workhorse CPU like the i5 offered. It is all down to how you intend to use it and where the line is drawn on what they actually do.

I don't have a problem with it specificly, just the effect it has had on the GUI tools and design decisions. It is a great thing to have as an extra but they have slashed and burned the GUI to plant it, again canabilising their strengths in the hopes they can win a completely different game.

Anf PS is their answer to Linux, unfourtunatly they forgot to take into account that a stack of their audience would be using Linux anyway if they wanted to be locked into a shell for every little thing. Their initial stated goal was PS compatibility wile maintaining GUI tools, that did not even last the first product release before you had a stack of configuration stuff you needed to do only avalible through PS along with GUI tools so sluggish thanks to their PS underpinnings you were better off reading the book on it and doing it by the shell because it was quicker than waiting for their tools. In their haste they just made the jump to Linux for some users make more sense. PS has been one of MS's worst mistakes in my view, it in itself is good but the cost has been far to high.

We don't upgrade either however Windows now does a good job of it. Why are their docs on the machines anyway, the best thing about a managed domain is that all docs, profiles etc. are stored and synced off the server, also backed up so if a system breaks or gets stolen you can just swap a new machine in, either that or just bang a new image over the top. If it is not managed on a server is it backed up at all by the teachers? Upgrades can lead to slower machines, more mess and general weirdness that you don't get on a fresh install there is also always the chance of something going wrong during the upgrade which will leave the user without their docs etc. If the user has not bothered to back it up and it has been left saving everything locally like a home computer.

I'm on a phone at the moment but do an advanced search here for a thread started by me called windows 7 temporary profile, the solution may be in there and is a bunch of registry keys to clean out.

I think the Nexus before this one had a barometer, most have battery and CPU thermometers but these are no use for ambient. Should be good long run for distributed climate data.
