  1. We've been having this problem at our school today! teachers have been unable to get past the logon screen, causing massive disruptions during lessons. Glad there's a fix this for now... saves me from pulling anymore hair out!
  2. Didn't manage to go this year, I was busy managing the IT Dept for the Network Manager whilst he was away visiting Bett. Hopefully there might be a possibility of me going next year though! (fingers crossed.)
  3. Hi there, Does anyone know how to enable adding bookmarks in Google Chrome Enterprise through GPO? we want to enable this feature so that both students and staff can add bookmarks via Google Chrome without having to import their favorites from a different browser. If someone could let me know how to enable this setting, that would be brilliant!
  4. Apparently Microsoft has said you will need a Kinect attached to your Xbox One, otherwise it won't function properly. Xbox One Will Not Function Without Kinect Attached - IGN
  5. Here it is folks! the Xbox One!
  6. Just to let you all know that the live event has now started, lets see what Microsoft really has to offer! http://uk.ign.com/videos/2013/05/21/ign-live-presents-the-next-xbox-reveal?zeta_id=469477237&utm_source=Targeted%20Blasts&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Xbox+Pre-Event+Blast_16070_858698_858706&utm_content=469477237
  7. Sony didn't show the PS4 console due to them holding a separate event at E3, which will prevent their main rival Microsoft from having an advantage of seeing what Sony has to offer before showing everyone the new Xbox. Also the Kinect 2 is rumored to be unveiled alongside the new Xbox and hopefully should have some new games made exclusively for the new Kinect. As for the new exclusive IP's we should hopefully hear about them at today's event or during E3, and for backwards compatibility it'll be interesting to see what Microsoft will have to offer. They could just as easily offer downloads via Xbox Live for the previous Xbox 360 and original Xbox titles like Sony is doing with the PS3 at the moment...
  8. Good to see that Yahoo has finally updated Flickr at last! although some of the pro users might be rather angry that the web version is too similar to the mobile version that was released. I myself however, will be interested to try this new update out and see what it's like compared to the old version.
  9. With all the attention that was drawn from that single tweet by an employee, it wouldn't surprise me if Microsoft did set that up to see what everyone's reaction to the always-on function would be before testing it out...
  10. Hopefully Microsoft won't choose the always-on requirement due to the amount of negative feedback they got after it was leaked by an employee. I agree it would be a good idea to wait for the prices to come down since it could be rather expensive to buy the console at launch. It'll also be good to see some sequels made for the new Xbox with games such as Alan Wake 2, Gears Of War 4, Halo 5, and a new Bioshock game etc.
  11. I agree that the name Xbox 720 doesn't exactly have the same ring to it like the "Xbox 360" and I'm hoping they do change the name to something more satisfying when they announce it.
  12. Microsoft will be announcing the Xbox 720 tomorrow at 6pm, and will be available to watch online (or even on your Xbox 360!) and see the next generation of hardware be unveiled at last. For more information regarding rumoured hardware specs, console name & design, games & entertainment, pricing & release date, then please have a look at the link below and tell us what you think! 13. Don't think we'll be deploying Windows 8 at our school anytime soon, both the staff and students are too used to working with the ordinary Windows desktop environment, and will not like all the changes that comes with Windows 8. We do however have 1 member of staff who's running Windows 8 on his new laptop, and loves using it. So maybe once a new service pack or Windows 9 is released we can look into possibly upgrading...
