Both post your relevant paperwork and let's be done with it
  2. No, I don't 'ink so.

    Apple Sues HTC

All affected phones will receive a software update that will: Display a message forcing the user to choose one of the following: Sorry, no can do - that idea is patented
  4. Jeb's Jobs animated video. Hello. Mr Octopus? Oh I get it, Tentacle Support? Still not funny!
  5. I'm concerned. Are you feeling OK?!?
  6. Bossman and I were wondering - did he access it via a proxy server?

    Apple Sues HTC

Software patents are ridiculous. That's all I have to say.
  8. Yet another similar app: WinDirStat - Windows Directory Statistics
  9. It might be good to touch lightly on the difference between "open source" and just "free".
  10. Loads of fan/molex/power cables here: Kustom PCs Molex Cables
  11. USB-powered fans? Or ones with molex connectors and run them from inside the PC? You'd just need to be handy with a soldering iron or chockblock.
  12. What about just sticking in a few air vents? Ventilation Grilles - Polished / Satin Nickel | Polished / Antique Brass | Applied Bronze
  13. If you call the sales number of any network they'll pretty much bite your hand off if you tell them exactly what you want, don't just go for what's on the website. I recently got a great SIM deal with Vodafone which is £5-£10 less than what it would have cost online. E.g. "I want 2 SIM-only plans (or 2 Phone ABCs), with X minutes per month and Y texts - what's the best price you can do?" The HD2 is a powerful phone hardware-wise, but runs Windows Mobile 6.5. Windows 7 Mobile will be released soon, but the HD2 will not be upgradable - so you'll be stuck on WM6.5. MS have said they will continue to support it; but for how long?
  14. So. The only thing we can know for sure is that a) it's mellow and b) has two vocalists - male and female. That narrows it down
  15. At one point I used to enjoy listening to the radio, usually local stations TFM and Galaxy. But they started playing rubbish music (I think they call it "R&B"), and spent more time playing jingles, ads and talking too much so I just stopped and turned more to digital music and CDs. So I pretty much gave up on radio. I've been using Spotify for almost a year now when at a computer, and in the car I just stick a CD on. I usually discover new music through word of mouth, Last.fm, and other websites. Having said that, when I've had no choice but to hear Radio 2 I have discovered new artists before (e.g. back in 2007 when they played British Sea Power - No Lucifer). I can see the value that 6 Music has, and agree that it is an area that the BBC should be concentrating on instead of the more costly niche Asian Network. And what about Radio 3 & 4? How many listeners do they have vs. their budgets? Interesting article from The Guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2010/mar/02/rupert-murdoch-tory-media-policy
  16. One of the less useful shortcuts (in XP that I know of) is Alt + Esc: lowers the current window. More info here: Alt-Tab - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I've known about the top-left icon one for a while, and regularly make use of Alt+Space and the underlined letter to execute the minimise/maximise/close-window functions.
  17. I love this - Rick Wakeman. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDsvZGM1vD8]YouTube- Rick Wakeman Solo[/ame]
  18. The Flickr Video FAQ recommends these sites for that sort of thing: ccMixter - Welcome to ccMixter Creative Commons Search Free and legal music downloads - Jamendo Browse Music by composer, or by performer, or by instrument, or by period or by form
  19. If you're on 6.0.4, you don't need to do any hacking, there are some parameters you can set through the CLI to do it: Disclaimer message - Zimbra - Forums If you're not on 6.0.4, upgrade, then do the above
  20. Yes, let's ban them from talking to each other during break and lunch times!
  21. The only issue here is that the teacher would need to know the computer name that a given user is logged on to. One benefit of the central server is it has one URL, just change the username part. You can even create a basic front-end to make it even easier
  22. Just because everyone else doesn't make sure their websites validate properly - that makes it OK?
  23. We have Monit installed on a Linux server and it monitors the service ports (as well as ICMP ping) for all our internal devices (servers, switches, APs etc) and sends an email on failures.
  24. Classroombookings? Short answer is 'no' for the current (1.0) version; but that will be included in the new version.
  25. I'd use Wolf CMS (dead straight-forward) and Google Calendar. Wolf is a port of Frog CMS, which I use for Spennymoor Town Band. Has a calendar & events page, and easy enough to use so one our non-technical secretary can add/modify pages.
