Are you sure you ate the sandwich and not the packaging? Hope you feel better soon anyway - it's rotten feeling like that.

Sounds nice. Enough to go round, danrhodes?

It almost killed me choosing Comic Sans MS from the font list.

We have lift-off. http://stuff.m0php.net/pics/webman-eg.gif

Our attendance person prints off paper registers and take them outside when the alarm sounds. Several times per day should be sufficient, or every lesson depending on how kind to the environment you want to be.

@sparkeh I had no intention of insulting you or your partner - sorry if that is the case. I was merely commenting how ironic it is that one poster said they're in the real world - yet there they are picking eachother apart! I know not all teachers are the same. But I disagree that our job on the whole is a walk in the park - some of us have incredibly huge responsibilities for the whole establishment + more, not just 30 kids at a time.

Oh wow. I'm sold! PSTs - PITAs as far as I'm concerned.

IE5.5, IE6, IE7 and IE8?
-
Bless them One teacher claims they're "in the real world."

Yeah that's good, was just curious as sometimes smaller details have the ability to get lost. Especially at 16px, but those are fine

nephilim: Will they be recognisable at their lowest size?

Looks like it's to do with IE8: Buttons "Archive", "report spam" "delete" and others comes in virtical order. - Gmail Help Have you tested it using a different browser but on the same computer?

Have you found it yet Hightower? One band I know with both male and female and possibly a bit mellow, is Tunng. Give their new album a listen (maybe on Spotify).

[pics] The reliablility of today's electronics
webman replied to computer_expert's topic in Jokes/Interweb Things
In order to do things a) quicker and b) cheaper; it seems manufacturers are using cheaper and inferior components and off-the-shelf stuff. Lots of things now are implemented using re-usable generic firmware and software. Contrast this to years ago when just about everything was done in-house. Manufacturers would know things inside-out, and would test, test and test again their own implementations. By doing the above, it seems that they think they can be lazy and cut a few corners. -
Maybe this is how/why some teachers get so much money?

On boot, available for all users? Or at logon for that specific user? I don't know Sharepoint, but I'm going to guess it's using WebDAV; in which case you will need to mount it using davfs. It can be installed on Ubuntu by doing sudo apt-get install davfs2. More info.

Everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon launching new sites at the moment - must be the time of year I very recently launched the Bishop Auckland Schools Extended Services (BASES) website. Powered mainly by CodeIgniter and BBC Glow. It could probably do with a print-friendly stylesheet though - job for the weekend maybe

Can you go into the BIOS setup in VMWare Player? Try to set the boot device to only the CD? Or make an ISO of the XP disc and see if that will work.
-
Where did you tell it to use the CD to boot? Does that CD work in other (physical) machines? Do any other bootable CDs work in VMWare Player?
-
I think so, yeah. The law is a bit of a fawn in your side when it comes to this.
-
Probably. I suppose coming up with new, original road names now-a-days is a bit of stag in the dark
-
Yeah, pointless. The last time I got two cards in a roe!
