  1. We tried to contact them a few weeks ago but the 01207 phone numbers and website seem to have fallen off the face of the earth. These are the latest info I have... Phone: 01207 218989 Email: helpdesk at derwentside.gov.uk Recent contact: A.East at derwentside.gov.uk
  2. @CyberNerd: Or that... I think Bossman downloaded it a while ago but we haven't installed it yet.
  3. I'm not a user of BGFL at all, but I see no reason why they couldn't use the Zimbra LDAP database as their Moodle authentication provider.
  4. But wouldn't you like to discover and read about the history of the other eighty-four methods John?! No? Maybe knot
  5. Some other notable features of Zimbra that are worth getting to know are tags and search. The interface is fairly Javascript-heavy (which isn't the strong point of IE7 & 8), so to make the most out of it I'd recommend using a Mozilla or Webkit -based browser such as Firefox or Safari/Chrome. We run Zimbra internally here in conjunction with Mozilla Prism. Prism is a single-site browser - essentially the Firefox engine without the peripheral tabs, toolbars and bloat. It also means we can give our end users a proper "Email" icon that just launches Prism pointed at our Zimbra install.
  6. If you stick that exact ISBN into Amazon.co.uk, you should get one result - new £65 and used from £10.38. 7. Mumford & Sons here too, with a bit of Temper Trap. Also starting to get in to The Editors.
  8. We run the BTEC course and uploading pages to a website is a requirement. I set up a Linux box for it - guide here: FTP and Web server [bishop Barrington IT Wiki]
  9. Ah - curses! If you can do an AutoIt script, there's some posts in the forum which might work: Disable/Enable Local Area Connection - AutoIt Forums
  10. Does disabling and re-enabling the device from the Device Manager do the same thing? If so, devcon could be the answer: Enable/disable a device from the command line - The solution
  11. Yep, pretty much - http://www.edugeek.net/forums/general-chat/49076-so-ipad.html?highlight=ipad
  12. Ahh, excellent. Didn't know that was possible - thanks to you too
  13. Once you're in a VNC viewing session, right-click the program entry on the taskbar and click 'Save connection info as...' (or press Ctrl+Alt+F5). Choose a place to save the file. You should be prompted if you want to save the password - click Yes. You will then have a small plain-text file with connection information for your VNC connection. If VNC was installed with the option to associate .vnc files with VNC Viewer, then double-clicking the file will launch the viewer to the machine without prompting for the password.
  14. Cool
  15. What about? $ getent group | grep 07 Or setfacl with domain\07 instead of just 07?
  16. Each teaching room has a dedicated IWB computer for use by anyone with a school network account. If our software licenses allow us to install it on their laptops, we do. Otherwise, we don't.
  17. Bet you had to pay extra though.
  18. The iPad from FoD Team UK - Video The iPad - John introduces you to Apple's latest invention.
  19. @limbo: Yeah, that makes sense.
  20. OK, thanks for posting that farmerste. But I don't think my idea will work though, due to the nature of the way ASP.NET handles forms and all of its obscure hidden fields. @limbo: Running IIS on every workstation seems overkill just for getting the username to be auto-filled.
  21. I get this list... HP LaserJet P2055DN's going... Mitsubishi SL6SU projector... script for joining wireless... So the iPad... Recommended eSATA HDD for... Windows 7 and Steam Login Zimbra Email BGFL? Still quite a few technical posts.
  22. @superfletch Are you fishing for another joke?
  23. I didn't think Capita did open source?
  24. I don't think I could bear flying on a plane in that condition.
