CISCO Route-MAP / ACL object group query.
AIT replied to AIT's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Debug Ip Policy (route map name) is not an option. Only has an option to debug ACL list. (and not extended ones) -
Hi All, ODD one. We use a 'route-map' to determine what to forward to our smooth wall cluster for filtering (or really the loadblancer). and this route-map refers to an ACL which defines if its a network we want to forward on or circumvent the smoothwalls. Up to date this has worked perfectly. However: as of a few days ago. Our ACL which contains an object-group (with a load of Microsoft Ip's in). Seems to only process down to the object group part of the ACL. Everything after that seems to be ignored. (or thats what the hit counters when viewing the ACL would appear to indicate along with Ip ranges suddenly not receiving transparent filtering) My question anyone has seen this before/know a fix? Thanks

Not sure where you are based, but this is right up our street. We started our business 10+ years ago as an in school IT team and now offer cloud services to schools joining together as a trust, to "act as one" if that makes sense. Possibly drop me a dm.

Exchange 2016 - Not Sending or Receiving any Internal or External email
AIT replied to AIT's topic in Enterprise Software
Hi All, Ok so we have resolved it. IT was GPO. We have dropped exchange into its own GPO and blocked inheritance. (so no policies apply) - GP Update and within 3 mins emails start flowing again. We don;t hold complete management of the site so have asked the local IT Team to let us know what they were playing with so we can highlight the specific GPO that caused it to stop. Very interesting error and never heard of GPO stopping email!!- 6 replies

Exchange 2016 - Not Sending or Receiving any Internal or External email
AIT replied to AIT's topic in Enterprise Software
C has 50GB Free Datastore drives (3 datastores on 3 drives) equally have plenty of space, one of our first test was to add around 20GB per drive. As above really. Must be something outside of the exchange box, to have a working exchange restored and not work.- 6 replies

Exchange 2016 - Not Sending or Receiving any Internal or External email
AIT replied to AIT's topic in Enterprise Software
Just to throw a little bit more out there. I have restored Exchange from 4 days before (when it was functioning properly) however powering this up has exactly the same fault. So does anyone know of anything else that can effect exchange in this manor? And I think the above answers the send receive connector question. I have re done all send receive connectors. So no, i dont think its even exchange now.- 6 replies

Hi All, Firstly we have seen this issue in the past but this one is currently defeating us. were 24hours in looking at this and nothing seems to get it to work. (not even for a short period of time) Local school has a single Exchange 2016 server. was on Update 8 and we have updated to 13 and now 14. Makes no difference. I'm aware a lot of these issues are caused by DNS being incorrect or set with multiple or external. We have ensured that its set to a local AD server and this server can resolve any MX record and added its name and FQN to the hosts file record. Error received: External servers are reporting the exchange server is issuing: Deferred: 451 4.7.0 Temporary server error. Please try again later. PRX4 Internal Email gets a similar log in transport logs: SmtpResponse:451 4.4.395 Target host responded with error. -> 235 Our Diagnostic: Transport services are all started and Active on exchange / certificates are valid Google reports this could be a DNS issue, and we have done every check. DNS is functioning properly and tried to put the local entry within the hosts file. Id be massively grateful if anyone has any ideas.

Capita openhive email down
AIT replied to Jobos's topic in East Midlands Broadband Consortium (EMBC)
We look after large proportion of schools, and all Openhive users can send email outbound however any recipient replying or sending an email to Openhive fails with: Could not be delivered because of Mail loops back to me. 172.20.4.72. First encountered the problem around 12Noon yesterday and still issues this morning. -
Right.. this has got me stumped. We have a telephone system that uses an external sip trunk 83.166.160.240. From my workstation can ping and tracert it fine, (to node4). From the server at the customers location pinging 83.166.160.240 gets a reply from 10.0.0.74 (the SIP Server...), Hence the ping coming back as a proper reply from a different ip. from the sip server itself you cannot pint 83.166.160.240. Has anyone got any thoughts. I have tried the obvious of clearing arp. (but there were no arp entries for 83.166.160.240.) help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

WebAnywhere and Overnet Data SIMS.net integration email
AIT replied to localzuk's topic in Virtual Learning Platforms
As this quite clearly is a matter to both new and old customers of WebAnywere I feel its more than appropriate to ask if there will be any further updates / bug fixes and if the working relationship is still there for continued support. I have had a few conversations today both with WebAnywere and Overnet, both say they are "doing the support" Perhaps we could have clarity on who supports what? -
