  1. We did away with mandatory profiles when we moved to Windows 10. We have a very heavy list of folders for the roaming profile to ignore synchronising for students sp near enough get a fresh profile at each login and it's been fine with OneDrive for the last 12-18 months (all our users are configured for OneDrive for home drive only now) All profiles are deleted at logoff other than laptops used off site, and the finance workstations since Sage200 is a terrible installer and only puts stuff in the local profile when it's installed.
  2. Having a full or empty "My SIMS Documents" makes no real difference to the slowness of the login to SIMS. When running reports maybe, but alas testing with a large Document folder, or a completely empty one still took 20-30 seconds for pulsar to load up the screen after completing the username box.
  3. Didn't know I was nameless =/ Do you have another workstation handy that you can setup with latest version of Windows and see if it's still BSoD to rule out any hardware related causes/additional things connected. Also if you have Adobe Reader installed on the station, see if it still crashes when it's uninstalled.
  4. Do you mean why is it not included in the web-browser only version of Word in Office 365, as it is clearly in the C2R download copy of the application. The Word WebApp has limited functionality because it's running within a browser only and is designed to work across different operating system platforms. The Click to Run download copy of Office at least is designed either for Windows or for MacOS (plus you have the full apps on the mobile devices) Not sure if the Google Docs also has mail merge built in to the browser app either.
  5. Any reason for not doing the system restore as per the recommended guide from the DfE?
  6. I think they mean the online version as in the one that runs within the web browser. Mail merge is in the normal full installation version of Office365 as I still use it frequently.
  7. if it was just 1 school with the issue, that would be something to check, but several sites with different equipment with similar slow loading after the recent update would point more to an issue with Pulsar.
  8. We've had the slow logon since updating the 7.2 (so has the primary), so it's something that EES have done more so that your side.
  9. Saw that advert on a bus while sat in the Hospital Car Park this morning. Not sure the lady at the front under the arrow would have been amused if they had seen the advert =/
  10. Guess you were lucky to find it.
  11. We're using Office Apps happily on iOS devices as part of our OVS-EES agreement. It just asked for the e-mail address to validate the activation. All of our users are assigned the A1 Plus licence and not the base A1 one (since MS give us "unlimited" licences for users to use Office at home as we have the OVS agreement)
  12. Might have just spent most of my week off on leave binge watching The Rookie via the Sky Box sets. Actually quite funny for a police show
  13. Well if you call iSpy stalking you, then yes Anyway.. mooooving on
  14. @mikeprice were you drunk when you took the picture, or in the middle of a crash as it appears to be upside down
  15. Well they are still in the process of moving the forum to a new platform, so might not be something that can be done at present
  16. Our "Elegant" solution is for students to share specific folders with staff if required According to our AUP/Staff handbook, the only people than can access staff or student areas is IT Support
  17. Well you said the new version was due out this week so it wasn't a major issue
  18. A typical setup would have all the controllers on a single setup, and you can have the management software on multiple computers to add users/update settings. If they are 2 completely separate systems with their own Database of users/controllers assigned, then taking to Paxton might be best to see if what your wanting to do is possible.
  19. Excellent. Hopefully this version will run on my restricted laptops when I get back to work after my holiday as even allowing modify rights to the ProgramData and Windows Temp folder for the test user it failed to run for a non admin (and your site wasn't available for the last few days)
  20. Might be wise to talk with Paxton, as not sure if a controller can be configured to work on 2 separate systems at once, since it needs to send the requests back to the server. As was suggested in the other thread you opened, any reason for not arranging for your access cards to be configured on the other system that the 3rd controller is currently on?
  21. If you reboot an affected station, is the issue still occuring? When I've had that last term, it was due to the station firewall and proxy not being picked up correctly and a reboot was enough for the GPO to get reapplied fully so it could sign in correctly.
  22. Roll on September.
