Good afternoon, We are deploying alot of new Windows 11 devices, however we are noticing on first login that it can take up to 10 minutes to sign in. Obviously this is when it creates the profile and is doing many things in the background. Once school returns this has the possibility of causing chaos especially on a class full of laptops logging in for the first time. I just wondered what everyone is doing these days to address this, are Mandatory Profiles still a thing? are Teachers getting Pupils to always sign in on the same device or has anyone found a better way to speed things up?

Anyone else having issues with spellcheck on the New Outlook or Outlook on the web. It used to underline in Red anything spelt wrong. Editor Settings on Edge and in Outlook look ok and I checked Word and the old version of Outlook and all was fine.

The ChatGPT session on the Thursday had around 300 people trying to get into a space that sat around 50 people all while the Main Arena was empty. Didn't manage to get in! This was my only negative and enjoyed the experience as always. Didn't bother with the BettConnect thing but could see that others didn't either - should have opened it up for somewhere to sit at lunch. Also I liked how the Cloakroom was now free (2019 since my last Bett Event!)

Thanks DalekSec The issue is as the device isn't DEP enabled it isnt enrolled on Intune and I cannot get the Intune Company Portal App because it wont let me download any Apps from the App Store.

I have a Apple School Manager Apple ID logged into a non-DEP iPad running iPadOS v16. Everything seems fine apart from I cannot install any apps from the App Store - It says GET but it is greyed out (or light blued out) We use Intune and an MDM - does anyone know how I can allow it to install either any App from the App Store or even curated ones. Back in October we set up new Aruba 505 and 515 access points on Aruba Central. All is fine, however we can't AirPlay to the AirServer software outside the VLAN that both systems are connected to. What I mean by this is when we choose to mirror our iPads only devices currently connected to the same VLAN as the iPad will show. We have configured AirGroup on Aruba Central however I cannot see anything to make this work across other VLANs, ie we need AirPlay to work when connecting to wired networks which are on a different VLAN. We have a hybrid environment whereby we have both Aruba and Cisco Access Points and Cisco works fine. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Hi Kiran We have been troubleshooting this very issue for 2 weeks and have just got a solution. Deploy Mobility Print Deploy Print Deploy using inTune - Guide here Use Print Deploy to deploy Mobility Print printer queues. Users will need to sign into Print Deploy but should get prompted for this. Mobility Print itself requires admin credentials to run and install and there is no silent install but works well this way. Print Deploy needed credentials to add the print queues from the print server, so again didnt go smoothly and needed manual intervention. The combination of them both with Print Deploy being used to deploy the Mobility Print printers seems to work well (so far)! Best of luck. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately not. It still kicks in and when the same person logs into a different PC it will prompt again. Dont get me wrong it will work if the person Activates it correctly but most aren't doing that and sometimes you even need to log out of Office close everything down and start again.

We are getting an issue whereby users are now getting prompts to login and Activate Office, most are not doing it properly and all their Office product have a red banner saying that it is unlicensed and all features not available. It seems to be maybe on PCs not used for a while. Does anyone know why this is happening and to minimise these Activation prompts - we havent had this before and have used the O365 or Click to run version of Office for a few years now. I am in Scotland so our schools return next week and will be a nightmare if pupils have to Activate Office on every PC they log into. Thank you.

Attempting to set up a new site to site VPN using IPSEC v2 tunnel between a Barracuda NextGen Firewall and a Ubiquiti Dream machine Pro. The VPN tunnel seems to be up and running but traffic does not appear to pass through the tunnel. Traffic appears to transverse through that firewall rule but it doesn’t seem to go through the VPN, there seems to be no traffic. Just wondering is there is anything obvious that I need to implement for this to work, potentially routing ? If you need anymore information please let me know.

I have been speaking with Apogee and have been quite impressed with them compared to all the companies I have spoken with and have been helpful. They are now owned by HP as in 'Apogee, a HP Company' so things may have changed from a few years ago. I am in a similar position to Rob_D so if anyone has any recommendations for good suppliers of Printer Fleet that would be great.
