What switches are you running? The following might be useful (Cisco command). Show Mac Address-Table The problem with LLDP it requires the end device to support it and have it enabled. -
I believe Hikvision has been banned in South Australian hospitals and other state public services.

Be carefully. It’s more and more common for RAM to be soldered onto the bird.

Thats quite a low spec. I would be looking at a minimum of a 10th gen I5 with 16GB Ram. I was ordering devices with 8GB RAM back in 2014.

This is potentially a complex project. You need to consider all the services that tie into AD. An example would be Office 365, Raduis, and other software and systems.

Hosted SIMS is really poor. You’re going to have to deal with their technical support to resolve the issue. There is little people on here can do. Long term you need to leave SIMS for a proper cloud solution. Arbour is an example.

Is SIMS really secure? And why do so many schools stick with it?

I am happy to see there there isn’t a prejudice against the OP age. -
It’s been a while since I have used it but I believe XIBO can do this.

I am confused as to why step 1 is being performed. Are you using roaming profiles or something?

Thanks for the replies and comments. The purpose wasn’t to gain a qualification to help looking for a job. I was looking to learn something that can be used at work. When I did my Cisco stuff I found it externally useful and made life easier in the long run. On the AWS vs Azure it does seem most use Azure here. Although I haven’t done any real research into that.

I am looking at becoming a Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate. I am wondering if anyone else has been down this route, or other Azure certifications and have any feedback please? Was it worth doing? Are you keeping up the certification for every year? Cheers.

Ah. Didn’t realise you had that on.

I have also dealt with Andy (when I lived in the UK). Can’t recommend him and the company enough.

Dell Chromebook 11 (3180) out of support already?

I don't see how you're getting screwed over. The end of life information was published at the time of purchase. It's not too different people who in recent years have purchased devices with out of date CPU and finding they aren't compatible with Windows 10. In fact it is better than that as they didn't get any warning at the time of purchase unlike the Chromebooks. -
The issue is that your eggs are in 1 basket. What if the SAN goes bang? Your DR requirements might be fine with the downtime but it's worth thinking about.
-
Like what please? Can you clarify what services you want to use please? Are you talking about port forwarding or outgoing ports? In certain deployments you might not need to forward anything. For example if your SIP trunks are part of the service delivered for a WAN or Internet service there won't be any need for open ports at all - this is the case for us.

3 - Redirect the desktop to a folder that they don't have permission to modify. I used to use a local folder on the C drive.

If you can stick to Display Port - It is much less problematic. I have also had HDMI issues with cables in the wall of loads of classrooms. Using a HDMI to Display Port cable from the faceplate to the computer fixed all the issues.

Any idea how when soon is please? Over 2 years later and we still aren’t there. -
This is how I understood the post to be as well. Unless I have missed something?

Have you considered that older computers won't get firmware and BIOS updates that contain security updates?
