  1. Thank you A depressing answer, but not unexpected! In my experience their technical support is so slow as to be not worth bothering with sadly......
  2. Hi My data manger is off with covid so I'm trying to deal with sending some assessment data home. I have tried to amend an individual report word template, pressed save and then SIMS froze. We use hosted SIMS and wherever I login to SIMS I end up on the same frozen page which is unresponsive. This happened yesterday too and SIMS reset over night. Is there a better way out of this?? There must surely be a way of SIMS?
  3. My issue now is that when I go into Post 16 programme of study, no student is showing their programme type, start date, planned end or status. And as a result im showing no timetabled hours Surely there must be a way roll this on from year 12 into year 13. And how do I automatically populate this in year 12? Students do have linked courses in year 12, but some students are not showing in staff linked classes (some of our new students in year 12, but not all). This is odd as they are correct in the academic structure and they are correct on registers.
  4. Thanks I will give that a try. We do use Nova T, but have not change the way it is set up, so I'm happy this will have been ok (or the same as previous years anyway).
  5. Worryingly it says it is critical to promote before the end of the academic year. Clearly this hasn't happened so I'm not sure what to do next.
  6. So I have an issue that our academic year has not been promoted properly (not anyone's fault, rather an issue of not having the correct training). I'm not really a SIMS person so go easy! The situation is this. I can see all students are in the right courses on the curriculum academic structure by scheme. However, when I go to course manager and the post 16 programme of study, the TT hours and the Qual hours and the planned end are all completely blank. We have a similar issue with year 12 and all other year groups where no courses are showing despite them showing in the academic structure. I know that the timetable wasn't promoted correctly and I'm pretty certain that we need to promote it again. My question is this. Can we promote the timetable now, or will that cause huge issues? Will it mean that we lose all the information in the academic structure? Will it remove new students weve added at the start of the year? I know we need to promote again, but I fear the consequences of doing so. Help!
  7. Solved it! We hadn't told SIMS which was week A and B when applying the timetable. Thanks for the advice, looking there again helped me spot it.
  8. HI I'm after some help as I have a new data manager who has never set up a new academic year before. I have created the timetable in Nova T and imported it into SIMS. We have set up the academic year in SIMS and we are using the correct academic year, its been applied and the term/holiday dates are correct. Yet staff timetables don't show on their home pages and we cant see the cover module I can see timetables for staff when I select their details but they cannot register at the moment. Classes are on SIMS too. Has anyone any ideas as to what the issue might be? I suspect it small, but have no idea what it is!
