  1. 'A' roads around here in poor condition, any hills blocked by cars. More on the way... I'll decide what I do in the morning.
  2. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings#?date=2018-03-01&lat=51.0593&lon=-1.3087 School just outside the "Amber" area, home just inside. Currently main roads fine (except A34, but that's never fine).
  3. Well, I'm setting off now, I may be some time...
  4. They would only have 7 resistors in stock. I hear they are having trouble selling it off. Only got 4 out of 5 stores in stock. I gave up on them years ago.
  5. Quite a lot of short flurries here too. 10 seconds later; blue sky.

  9. Ahhh... In that case we have to ask "Are those cases actually full of broccoli?" "Was the picture taken this century?" "Is it in a warehouse, or a whorehouse?"
  10. We delivered them at 10:20, but there was nobody in. We lobbed them over the fence. Not our problem if they went missing after that....
  11. Stoned, stony, or perhaps both?
  12. 'If the network went down during a lesson, would you have an apoplectic fit, or just deal with it?'
  13. A looong time ago, I bought for work a Revox PR99, which in its time was a serious bit of kit. Reel - to reel running at 15" / sec, real time counter, easy to edit on. Weighed a tonne, with three huge motors and a cast aluminium frame. Cost £thousands. Mini-disk came out within a year, and affordable editing on a PC shortly after.
  14. (on) off (on) is the nomenclature you are looking for I think from your description. Some more info on what you are trying to do might help tie it down somewhat. ie mains, alarm, signal, push button or toggle...
  15. Oh what a joy it was, when at 5:20, every bit of electronic wizzardy was woken up by power being restored (didn't know it was off until that point) Fans - WHIRRRR, phone - Biddly Biddly Beep, and alarm clock - bip bip bip. Oh how we laughed.
  16. England's gritter can be tracked too. This week it is in Gloucestershire; somewhere.
  17. Payment to the kids' school. Their online system is hopeless.
  18. Children of Time; an interesting concept... Arachnophobes - might be best to give it a miss.
  19. Maybe if Hunt had know it was on offer, he wouldn't have tried so hard to hang on to his current "job"?
  20. I replaced an old backboiler/gas fire thing with a combi.. In the following properly cold winter, I used HALF the gas I used the year before. Don't I wish I'd done that YEARS ago?
  21. Allegedly had some early this morning, I didn't see it. However, there are photos around of it sticking a few miles away beyond Winchester.
  22. Snow shovelling is a good workout.
  23. P ed with rain all day, tomorrow I drive to Chester. Worst of both worlds...
  24. Can be used in the context of our Brexit negotiating team, or the P45.
  25. This reads like it has been WRITTEN by a child.
