  1. It isn't just the purchase cost; these things need maintaining.
  2. Safe, yes. But if you ever get moving lights, it WILL wobble all over the place.
  3. Yes, but... Don't try to set it up yourself unless you want an aneurysm. You also need to buy projectors designed with this level of $ophistication in mind.
  4. If I were looking for a proper hall projector, I would start by looking at Christie or Barco. If you can't afford them then look at the other offerings.
  5. My 1st thought too, but that wasn't a twin seat was it? Is this just a training variant?
  6. Ohhh...400/4s! How I lusted after one of those as a yoof.
  7. I've not looked for these specifics (I assume HDMI?) but Lindy would be my first port of call for lowish cost, but you can pay whatever you want if you go high-end. And do you really mean Ethernet (as in a network protocol) or just CAT5 cable?
  8. Looks like a band of it moving NW a few miles from me. Unless something changes it is just muggy and damp here. I'm due to spend tomorrow AM on the roof with a new satellite dish. Anyone want to take bets?
  9. But WHICH STATEMENT is the lie?
  10. There really is someone?
  11. We've got one of them too; oh wait...
  12. I was surprised at the price of SD cards the other day.
  13. Great. They have been fined a lot of money. Trouble is THAT'S MY* MONEY. No one at the CPS will be hurt any more than I will by that fine, so THEY WON'T CARE. *and yours.
  14. Is this an adaptor to put old SLR lenses onto modern DSLR? Didn't know that was a thing... Interesting as I have a few lenses, and am looking at a new camera.
  15. Ummm... "Sorry, I don't have a photo, will this do?" Spare parts for concert lighting kit.
  16. You know you work in a posh school when they have their own version of football. And the kids want to learn, and are (by-and-large) polite. Even when you are b()llocking them for running in the corridor.
  17. "Hi, can you recommend a good GDPR consultant?" "Yes." "Great, can you give me his email address?" "No."
  18. New sign for Rownhams, a few years ago though...
  19. My point is that some of the old 747s are still flying. Old technology, but maintainable.
  20. Shuttle was actually a buggers-muddle. 2 major crashes, largely due to the design being 'super-sized' so it could carry the big spy satellites. Sure, it was a clever bit of kit, but not what NASA wanted.
  21. I was living there at the time. Nothing "alleged" at all; they were in a snit because they couldn't get theirs to work. Had the routes to the States been established prior to the oil crisis, there's a chance it might have survived. However, with limited routes available, there was little chance. It frightened the Bejeezus out of me one day. Driving into Thorpe park when it took off; I thought the propshaft, or the entire exhaust system, had dropped off the car.
  22. If it is anything like H&S, it remains your (or the employers) problem.
  23. Depends. Manic days, and REALLY dull days leave me drained. Otherwise OK most of the time.
