Cos it is too cloudy...

Nope. Gravity only sucks towards the centre of the earth*. This is all down to "frames of reference". In the case of the helicopter, it, the air, and the earth are all moving together. You have to move the 'copter relative to the earth by forcing it through the air. * And the sun, the moon, the Great Attractor, and everything else. But in this context that is irrelevant.

One of last years successes:- I bought MrsC a heart pendant from Shapeways. They are a 3D printing outlet. Before you all go "Ahhh...", bear in mind MrsC was a nurse, so knows what hearts look like. They have oodles of weird stuff available to order, and will print your designs too. Clicky.

Why you have (probably) already bought your last car
Andrew_C replied to 6Foot2's topic in General Chat
EVERYONE will be pre booking journeys INTO towns in the morning, and out in the evening. How can they hope to match the capacity needed for peak times, without being hopelessly over stocked for the rest of the day, or running empty vehicles around? -
Plus a rack? And with aerials that look fixed, it may be a challenge to rack mount.

Why you have (probably) already bought your last car
Andrew_C replied to 6Foot2's topic in General Chat
I can't see how this is going to work in real life. What are my chances of getting a car at 7:30 in the morning? Or 18:20 when I want to leave work? Sure, if there was a really good integrated public transport system, and these cars were for the odd "I need to go somewhere bizarre with unfeasable amounts of kit" journeys... -

Certainly not until they have visited the laundry... -
This will do your USB switching. You might have to use the monitors built in switch to choose between DP & VGA.

Not only rude, stupid too. All you do is invite trouble when said laptop is left at home; and YOU have to find a solution FOR THE NEXT LESSON.

It is mounted on a solid wall. No bounce. The arm is part of the issue; but the ceiling is quite low so the projector is pretty much in your face even sitting at the desk. I'm putting the short throw up this afternoon.

Anyone want a hideous bracket? I'm planning to remove it tomorrow (27/9/18). Projector not included!

I'd be happy with EV in principle; but we can't tell you what it will sound like!

PoE speakers for college PA and evac
Andrew_C replied to BWMerlin's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
If this is going to be an evacuation critical system, then it will HAVE to be made and installed to relevant standards. In the UK that will include volume and intelligibility; which PoE systems might do, and fire resistant wiring: which they won't, and back up power which they might. -
Where are you? Hiring would be worthwhile before committing to buying a pig-in-a-poke. Like for like - were they active? https://www.thomann.de/gb/rcf_art_312_a_mk_iv.htm
