Hi all I have recently dug out an old Hybrid camcorder from Hitachi. It is working fine until the point of opening/editing the files on the HDD. There seems to be just one file that is a VRO file. From what i can tell this is similar to MTS in that it can show as one file but actually contains several smaller files. My question is does anyone of know a free converter for win 10 or have access to the original software for the item that is "imagemixer 3" and if so able to provide a download of it?.

Its not a hello but more of thank you. i am soon to be leaving the world of educational IT and would like to say that this site has helped with sooooo many problems through odd fixes and nuggets of knowledge gleamed through years of pain. I will remain a member if allowed but will not be able to contribute much more (although i think my new job will provide its own set of amusing stories and quotes). Thank you the Edugeek family, you are all awesome because you put up with other human beings even though you know you hate them really lol.

Hello All We have just recieved an email from CCLI wanting a list of all songs that have been used in assemblies etc, as i work at a non-religious school i did not think we would have to keep a list of songs played even if they do have some sort of religious context to them. Am i right in thinking the copyright licenses provided to schools don't require a huge list of songs to be submitted to licensing bodies? Also not sure if this is the right section for this post

the limit exists for some but not all. Iv'e never known a DSLR to overheat, unless its in a really warm place it shouldn't be a problem

We've got 10 Epson EB - 530s and so far they have been fantastic even on ECO mode and direct sunlight on the boards.

maybe try OBS as that supports a huge range of input sources -

if you wanted a local copy you could either see if you can download from the tes site or use something such as OBS to screen capture the video and then save a copy that way. (not the most legit thing i know but it could mean you dont have to jump through hoops later on to view it) -
format factory is perfect for what you want and it keeps the folder structure. not sure if there is a mac version though

the sony handycams are fantastic and produce good quallity audio and video. If you have the budget you could even look at a DSLR on ebay that way it gives scope for useage outside of just recording plays etc and can be used for photography.

Video editing software recommendation needed
chewee replied to mrssevage's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
it all depends on budget. Free - Shot cut or hitfilm express or davinci resolve. All have ups and downs but are free (except add ons but you may not need these for simple cut edits) Cheap - Adobe premiere express Less cheap - Adobe premier pro For simple cutting of the footage you wont need anything more complicated than the free ones but if you want transitions and effects then you will more than likely need to invest. Hardware wise - It depends on what you are editing and the level of editing. Simple cuts then most machines with an i5 will happily edit all day ( your render times will be linger without a GPU) If you want flashy effects and such then you will want a dedicated GPU with at least 2GB of memory and at least 8GB of system RAM. I do basic edits on an i5 with onboard GPU and 8GB of RAM and it handles it fine but struggles with colour correction etc -
Hello The computers we currently use are now way out of warrenty and will no doubt begin failing soon. Given that staff only do web browing and playing some videos and emails i thought what would be the point in getting a full size PC. By this i mean why not use something such as the LattePanda SBC as user profiles are roaming profiles so would not need a huge amount of storage and the specs of the system should handle anything the average staff member throws at it. Has anyone done this or looked into this type of setup.

can you use a shorter lead to see if the problem continues as VGA should be ok at 10M, often the main thing that happens is the resolution drops the further you send the signal. given that the problem though doesnt happen on other laptops try looking at the one laptop in more depth, maybe the VGA connector is starting to fail

depending on how brave you are and if you have fixed it by now you could look at swapping the IR sensor from one projector to another and seeing if the problem jumps with the swap.

Forget about merging the pages as that won't work, focus on verifying your page and let the rest take care of itself. as more people like the official page and traffic builds all users will be redirected to the official page. the link below should help when wanting to verify a page https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/how-verify-page-profile-facebook-blue-grey-badge-2017-alejandro
