Interesting.. I don't get a discount. The price must have changed based on stock level. If you're still interested it would be worth giving them a call.

I've not used them before. I've found it for £156 here: HEWLETT PACKARD, VP6110, Projector Lamps I've used them for different services before and they're very helpful.

We've got hold of a video of the logo but we would also like a still image also. @john I may be in touch @robk we're putting it on in February

Hello all, We're putting on the show Schools Will Rock You and are looking to use the Globalsoft logo on some plasma screens during the show, unfortunately the only logo I can find is rather poor. Just wondered if anybody could possibly create a larger one? Thanks in advance, Chris

I haven't needed to install VP5 on any 2000 boxes as we don't have any (yay!). We did however have SEP 11 running on a Windows 2000 server - it was taken out of service a while back. RM seem to say that quite a lot of the features of SEP aren't supported. Give it a shot and see if it works, there's not much to go wrong!

RM CC4.3: Missing Packages RM useless !
Chris_ replied to CharlieGreen's topic in Network and Classroom Management
Have you got any links or RM KB articles for this? -
URGENT - CC4 - Add a trusted site for all users.
Chris_ replied to tj2419's topic in Educational Software
You could have a look at this article on the RM KB TEC899619. I know it's for CC3 but you should be able to just add the custom reg frag into the management console. Hope this is of some help. -
This sounds very much like my Ghost setup. Are there any firewalls on the computer running Ghost that could be blocking it?

Working environment - server noise. Is this affecting my hearing?
Chris_ replied to adhutton's topic in General Chat
The server room used to be my office also, the noise was really bad and I had to stand in a cupboard to make mobile phone calls. I kept telling my line manager that it was excessive and could well be over the HSE limits.. I eventually got moved, but only because a desk became empty elsewhere in the school. -
When I had to duplicate and print 300 CD's I just got an AV company to do it for me. They have the equipment to do it all very quickly and it wasn't too expensive either .

No pay rises? Oh what a shame... People in the private sector have had pay cuts/freezes over the last couple of years as well as facing redundancies.

We have them Tablet PC 2005 disks available to download via the Microsoft VLSC with our EES agreement. I'm guessing they'll be VLK versions though..
-
As others have said, it will work. It looks a bit on the expensive side though :/

Noes!! We'll have to bid for it >

I don't think you can as the figure of 8 connector only has live and neutral whereas an IEC or cloverleaf have an earth connector as well as the live and neutral. If the projector requires requires a power cable with an earth pin then it should be wired up properly.

Hello, I've recently installed HAP 7.6 and am in the processo of testing it before rolling out to the whole school. A user is getting the following error when they click on the "MyWork" drive "Invalid length for a Base-64 char array." Has anybody else come across this error or how to resolve it? Thanks.

Are they supplied with POE injectors that you put in line between the switch and the AP?

Ooo, this looks very interesting, might be the route to go down. Do you know any companies that will install cabling and supply these access points?

Morning all I've been asked to look into replacing/increasing the wireless access points around our sports department as the current wireless is very poor and often doesn't work when PE teachers are trying to take registers ons SIMS. We currently have loads of standalone 3com access points around the site for wireless and they are less than ideal for the number of staff laptops that we now have. It will only be a few access points (hall, gym, sports hall) and I don't think we'll be wanting to replace the whole school wireless, hopefully we'll be phasing out staff laptops over the next year in favour of fixed desktops in each of the classrooms. So the question is, do we go down the route of managed wireless for 3 or 4 access points or just get standard access points like the HP V-M200? Thanks.

It sounds like you need to reinstall the RM database. -
Smartcache and Symantec Endpoint/RMVP5
Chris_ replied to synaesthesia's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
We've got a newer Smartcache box with AD integration and RMVP5. We are having some issues with it but apparently it's a problem with the AD integration, nobody has mentioned VP5 being a cause of these problems?! Are you having the same issues as these http://www.edugeek.net/forums/networks/84436-rm-smartcache-keeps-falling-over.html ?
