Moodle gives accesibility to the resources inside and outside school. As this is starting to become a requirement, it's general best practice to have your content for the curriculum available on the VLE. 'Anywhere learning' you heard it here first.....and if you didn't hear it here first then i'm simply quoting

Slightly differing skillsets for that of a 'network manager' and that of an 'e-champion' do you not think? Saving money isn't always what schools need to do. Getting someone that is right for the job is. The classic 'value for money'. As for doing both jobs, I don't think that would be possible considering I do a similar role fulltime and the extent of the work is pretty huge. We're not just talking uploading resources, but creating and maintaining the environment, liasing with CL's regarding curriculum resources, getting teachers onboard, providing classroom support etc etc Try applying for that job, you never know

Having used Xerte for various topics I have to recommend it as the easiest to use. Very user friendly, drag and drop type affair with plenty of scope for making the resources good looking and easily accessible.

I'd recommend Simon for sorting this for you! We purchased a trolley and laptops for a small primary school and they have been very good, no problems whatsoever. Can't remember the pricing but I'm sure simon will give you a fantastic quote as usual. Need any advice, don't hesitate to give me a call.

Check the boot order - HDD first Ensure you do not have a bootable floppy or Cd in the drive Try swapping the drive with a 'known' working one Try the drive in another laptop that hasn't any problems Try removing one of the memory modules if it has more than one *as Simon mention* check the immediate connections between the IDE cable and the hard disk. - If not the problem, take the keyboard off and check the connections across the mainboard. Look for a BIOS update on the manufacturers website Turn off BIOS-antivirus in the BIOS menu
