  1. Just that bit too far away from me, don't hesitate to contact me if you hear of any in the Northants area, keen to get a few more schools!!!
  2. Yup, was going to upgrade within the next few days but may as well wait and see what deal i can get. I like Orange as a company, never really done anything misleading
  3. Moodle presentations - MoodleDocs
  4. Well learning platforms are there to give access to students wherever they may be so it can be a really useful resource for homeworks etc It also allows teachers to direct students to resources rather than spending hours a year searching the internet for the resource they require. Theres many more features that it can be useful for but i'm a bit short on time with my own VLE work, feel free to PM me if you need any further information as I do work in primary schools too. Although i can't guarantee a response today. Cheers
  5. It looked magical and enchanting so i thought why not!
  6. The people make it what it is, ABSOLUTELY FANTASTICO! ARRRRRIBAAAA!
  7. That's revolting saw it on facebook a few weeks ago. It just kept coming out, burrrrrrrrghhhh Can't imagine the smell and would never want to be near it!
  8. So far I've found some resources from Folens - Food Technology. £150 odd quid for a site license with VLE support
  9. Hello! Basically what I'm after is a Food Technology SCORM package to use on our VLE. The food tech peeps are very keen to use the VLE and I'd prefer them to use that over the networked versions of software, as it is organised nicely, little effort and accessable from home. Does anyone have any ideas on this software as I was asked to look into it and would just like some recommendations. The food tech leader has given a push towards an external website which i'm not a big fan of as its is subscription based and im not convinced we need another external source for learning. Especially as we have the backbone for it ourselves. Anyway, any recommendations for VLE based food tech resources, please help!!!
  10. Usually, by the means of forum etiquette, you save the sales pitch at least into a few posts on other topics. Winds me up when people come on here throw some company names and phone numbers/links about. There are rules, read them.
  11. Pugh is a good place to get some licenses, I'm sure even though you are a charitable school you should have the resources in place for a .sch.uk domain name. That is all you need to purchase. Cheers

    Fifa 10 demo

I swear its just a Fifa 09 thing, I got quite heavily into the BAP online and i never heard as much abuse by retards as i did in that game. The gameplay itself is brilliant when u get a good bunch together but thats very unlikely when people throw the toys out the pram when they don't get to be the player they wanted. I like the better fluidity in the new one, but like some have said disappointed in how similar it is to 09, not much more for your £40 odd quid they charge for the full game. No doubt packed with add-ons again that cost you shy of £10-15 each, whatever happened to decent free updates for games, we're not all pirates for console games.

Congratulations mate, all the best for the both of you in the future!
  14. Dig deeper Simon! Some of your not too distant mates will provide the support
  15. That's why some of us moved away from primaries so we can always offer advice to primaries on what they could/should be using. Never hesitate to gimme a call if you need some advice, more then happy to help!
  16. It's sat next to me, which worries me as the last one decided to blow up in a cloud of steam. I shall wear the appropriate fire-proof clothing to work everyday. Scarred
  17. Edugeek of course
  18. I gave you thanks, but no thanks
  19. I have the big meetings over the next couple of weeks with curriculum leaders, little do they know, but they will be passing on resources for me to sort out for them. Then when they have used it a bit more I shall show them how to do it. It's a slow process but IT WILL HAPPEN!
  20. Did you mention Moodle?....... Isn't Moodle fantastic and free!
  21. How long has that rotten apple been in there for, surprised it hasn't grown legs!
  22. Noted! I shall keep working on various whole-school projects with the insight of it actually meaning more to my career then simply having it up and running! Cheers
  23. Someone who has taught ICT for two years, worked in various roles in the education sector for the past 5 years and has a passion for it could possibly be qualified enough to take on that role? I hope so
  24. Think people are posting to remove themselves of any kind of doubt
  25. It's easy to say that IT support is providing the yes/no approach to requests but then you need the "what shall we do instead" appraoch to try to find a compromise. Some people don't need to hear the jargon behind how or why it is possible but hear that someone is there looking into a possible alternative. IT support does a fantastic job in most schools, but it's that bit in between that is often missing, not only is it then furthering the gap between teachers and technology but it's putting a fair few off it completely by simply hearing "no's" all the time. I'm sure it'll be a hard-worked position but at the end of the day, it's going to have to happen in most schools to keep the flow of technological improvement in schools, which can help schools turn around without flamboiant policy changes every year.
