That is the exact role that I am hoping to move towards within the next 5 years. Bringing the IT technical aspects and the curriculum needs together. It's an important role in this day and age and needs to be a lot more accepted then what it is.

If someone offered me 10k more I would absolutely bite their arm off. You are probably looking at 600/700 quid a month extra! Which more then covers the commuting costs and as the above post states, once you get your foot in the door, the worlds your oyster!

On a similar note, is there anything that connects to the best available Wireless Access Point? We have 3 points at the moment covering a rather heavily walled school, so even though they aren't too far away it makes a huge difference as to which point you can use effectively. By default I've set them to the middle area which allows connection to classrooms either side, but on a lower speed. Ideally I'd like something that picks up the best of the three at the time. I suppose I'm dreaming

We use it here on our citrix/thin client setups (approx 90), a few teething problems at first but have been rectified resonably easily
