Have a look at VT Transaction Plus Final accounts production, iXBRL accounts and bookkeeping software from VT Software so so so much simpler than sage or any of the big boys, does vat and end of year returns and latest version can submit online - been using it for over 10 years for various enterprises. Highly recommended.

In simple terms 2 x 1gb copper is better than 1 x 1gb fibre Copper Twice the capacaity/bandwidth ( not speed though necessarily) redundancy in case 1 cable is damaged/fails

Are you talking to BT retail (the customer facing mob) who will only have instant info on lines people pay them for or BT Openreach (the poeple who provide lines etc for all and sundry) who will know about it if its a BT cable. Finance people are good to talk to in this instance as they know who money is paid to - remember look for any other company names that may be used (talk talk, plusnet etc etc) or are the lines provided by a central council contract. Are the lines part of an alarm system and possibly provided and paid for by the alarm company as part of the contract?

Best plan to be sure is ring the local team and have a chat with them and they will tell you straight and an exact answer, then you know for certain. -
This may be a different issue, depending on how the outside tap was installed a lot have a one way valve in line and this will reduce flow.

Going rate for WAN link?

Depending on the link and the topology is a Wireless PtP link a possibility? Look at the Ubiquiti AirFiber.. 1.5gbps aggregate Full Duplex. One off cost for supply and install and then completely in your control. -

Have you got client isolation on your guest network (stopping devices on the same AP seeing each other) but not stopping seeing between different APS? -

A good tool for longer links but short links are tricky - particularly as it doesnt account for trees/builings etc etc.

A pair of Ubiquiti NanoStation Loco M2 MIMO, PtP/PtMP Bridge, Base Station should do this ok (better at 2.4ghz than 5) althouh i make no guarantees - this is purely back of a fag packet but thers enough signal to do a useabale connection at that range. but at the price you can try it.

What range are we talking? What bandwidth do you need? what Latency can you take?
