Well actually I did the admin install as normal msiexec /a setup.msi which put all the content, from all the discs into the one place. I then just put it on a share and linked to wrapper.exe in one of the folders. I did consider sending it out but I think some of our machines are tight on space and wouldn't take it.

***** Edit Managed to do it. Had a read through the manifest for file locations the file wasn't very specific! Cheers

I tried following those instructions which are a little strange to say the least. I did then normal admin install, which worked fine. I then did the admin install with the CC3 setup with those files as instructed and it failed ! I will keep trying for a while.

We have Exploring Science - How Science Works for 7,8 and 9 . I have successfully deployed it via the network but it needs to go on our moodle and it doesnt give and specific instructions on how to repackage it. Has anyone done this and want to give me a few pointers please.

We have some sharp photocopiers set to challenge for a pin number when they print. The instructions are rubbish and you need to make sure you use the right driver as there is more than one. The only other setting is to make sure on the photocopier that unauthorised people cant print.

It's a huge pain and it always rears it's ugly head on the only website that has the answer you need!

Somebody with 3 years experience. In many cases the person with a degree may know loads of advanced stuff, but they are pretty much starting from scratch with a lot of the more basic day to day jobs. -
Very good. It works best when viewed at an angle.

Lets hope they fixed it so Xorg doesnt bomb out after installation if you have 2 gfx cards leaving you at the console with no GUI because you have to go into the config and tell it what adapter to use!

Now you mention it.....

Hmm I see a familiar looking face on one of your pictures

That file for me only appears as a temp file in my home dir then disappears when the information is merged into the new spreadsheet.

You need at least 2 monitors it makes a big difference. Especially when following a guide a or looking up the syntax to something. It is also good to have something on the other screen to keep an eye on while you work on the other.

The fix mentioned for Google Earth worked for me.

After using Ubuntu as my main desktop OS for the last 6 months I can agree with you Matt about some of the little annoyances. Most stuff is nice and easy but other stuff requires skills that the average computer user would have no chance to fix.

We do similar on our interim reports. I have also had to write a fair bit of VBA for ours as well as they wanted traffic lighting etc which will not export from SIMs. I also have macros to collate all the documents into one for ease of printing.
