I liked mine for a year but it really did suffer with riding it all through the year. The build quality on my ZR-7 is far better but I think thats a one off ! For your first bike though it is excellent.

Some of my reports seem to be missing certain information. Shall I assume that this information has on just started to be collected and therefore wont be available in abundance?

On one of my reports I have This is for a datasheet though and not a normal report ie data only colledted for that one pupil. Anyway see if this field exists on the normal report and maybe try a run of priority 1 and 2.

I have put this here because I am going to assume it is something to do with CLEO config rather than a general config. I have a user who needs email forwarding to an external address. I have created a contact and set the users email to forward to this contact address. If you send email from an internal address the email arrives in the users local box and their yahoo account. If somebody sends an email from an external source, the original sender ends up with an NDR but the email does end up on our local server but not the yahoo. Any ideas?

I have a macro that will put all the word documents in a directory into one big file. You could then change the font etc to what you want and then convert to a pdf. I use it to put all our individual reports from SIMs in year groups to one file.

Congrats on the test. You will need a restriction kit on an ER5 to get it to 33 BHP. On paper it is 40 odd. Although realistically it is probably more like 33. A restriction kit will prob cost about £100 fitted by a mechanic as you need one to sign the certificate. The restriction is just some big washers that sit on the inlet to make them smaller thus less air/fuel getting in at once. Well worth it over a 125 though. You can restrict most bikes although theres not much point in restricting anything too big. As for braking you have to apply it gradually. If you grab a hand full of brakes the wheel will lock and the bars will be ripped out of your hands and down you go. You can also flip a bike like this as demonstrated by a family member who was in front of me on a roundabout and a bus back end swerved towards him, too much brake and up he went nearly vertical onto the front wheel then sideways to the floor. Not pretty.

In that case.... U turns be able to do them with ease on the narrowest street you can find to practice on. Remember you fail if you put your foot down! Keep making sure you have turned your indicator off. This gets a lot of people. As with a car test keep checking your mirrors especially when you move road position. When setting off from the side of the road, make sure you have a good look back before you set off. When setting off from the lights etc, have a good, quick look over both shoulders. Make sure you are using your front brake rather that just the back. Use both together as you will have been taught. Squeeze the front brake then apply the back. When you do your emergency stop the examiner may tease you a few times and make you go round the block. If you try to anticipate their signal and slow down he will wave you on. Once you have stopped make sure you look over both shoulders quickly before pulling to the side. Also make sure you do a good stop. I got failed for not stopping in a decent enough distance but I can assure that was the best my old ER-5 could do but he wasn't having any of it. Make sure you are ok moving off from an angle behind a car. They dont always test this but they may. They are just looking for clutch control. You should be ok if you have been riding about for a bit. They aren't as strict on the 125 test as they are on the direct access for obvious reasons. The best bit of advice I can give you is dont do your test at Blackburn because one of the guys there if the most hated examiner you will ever find. I passed on his day off

I don't know about these tests at these new centres unfortunately. All I know is it involves loads of going round cones and some kind of swerve emergency stop! You will need your CBT again to take your test. It would be worth at least a days lesson with a school if you have not been on your bike for ages.

I may come this year but probably on my bike so I wont get asked if I was a head teacher, wearing a leather jacket like I did several times last year!

CBT only lasts 2 years so you will have to retake. As someone who has done both the bike tests in the last few years I can try and tell you a little. This would depend on if your taking the new type of tests though?

Its gives the group you specify permission to all the relevant stuff sims needs such as files and reg keys. It's only usually used to make sure updates go smoothly when the logged on user is not an admin. It is worth a try though it wont do any harm. It should be in your setups folder on your server usage: simsperm yourdomain\simsusergroup It uses subinacl to set the permissions.

Have you used the simsperm script with your staff group on the Terminal Server?
