Hi All, I have just added the last bit to the Blog Post I have done which covers the 3 days, quite brief in some sense but contains plenty of information for you to have a read of. The session presentations have been added for you whom did not manage to get them from the Adobe Connect Live Stream. I have posted a link up there also to the Images that Ric_ has placed on Flicker for you all to have a browse through. Story covers both nights out also! EduTech Blog Post - EduGeek Conference 2011 in Preston I have added links back to the Exhibitors websites also. If they want to be removed or/ changed just post below or drop me a PM. Have a nice read, let me know if there are any issues. Hope it helps, James.

Hello everyone, I work for a school in Cornwall and we would like to set up a video conference to france. Whenever i try and dial the number they gave us it comes up with this error; "Network resources unavailable" I’m going though SWGFL gateway keeper (so I believe anyway, my network manger said it was set up fine before) Has anyone had the same problem? Or even better does anyone know what the problem is? I’ve got a horrible feeling that it’s something our end and I’ve never used it before... I’ve just been chucked in the deep end with it Please help me Regards Lewis

This is an open invitation to all Sussex & Kent (and beyond) school staff, teachers and technicians, to join us for a warm welcome to the first TeachMeet in this area! It is being held at the Hop Farm Conference Centre, Paddock Wood, Kent, TN12 6PY, from 7 - 9pm. For those who don't know about these, they are based on unconferences - anyone can speak about strategies for teaching and learning in a 21st Century classroom, either for 7 or 2 minutes. Alternatively, you can simply listen to the talks, meet other like-minded professionals, or simply drink coffee! The best thing is that they are completely FREE! Register your interest at www.TeachMeet.org.uk, or let me, Stephen Lockyer, know using [email protected] or on twitter with @mrlockyer . We hope you can come!

OK... it's been a busy couple of months but we're now on the last push for the next famous EduGeek conference. You may or may not be aware that the conference is to be held on Thursday 28 May at the Woodlands Centre in Chorley. It promises to be another good one with a varied selection of topics. If you want to come, please register for free at http://www.eventelephant.com/edugeekconferencemay2009 - if you have to cancel we need 2 weeks' notice though because otherwise we'll have to pay the £30 for your seat regardless! If you've already registered, thanks and I hope to see you there. We'll send some reminder emails out soon

I have uploaded a selection of pics in my EduGeek Album here. I have decided that Tom is some sort of ghost because all the pictures with him in them are either 'fuzzy' or have strange artifacts! The picture of Geoff and Si also didn't come out too well - my camera obviously cannot take pictures of things that it doesn't think can be real! Comments, etc. will soon come to the pictures - there will also be some bits on my blog at Ric's Blog - it will be moved here soon!

If you're school is part of a Multi-Academy Trust please note that we're pleased to be sponsoring this year's MAT Midlands Conference being held at the Orchard Hotel, Nottingham on 11 & 12 October. The conference, hosted by Sajid Gulzar OBE gives leaders from MATs, the opportunity to connect, share and find trust-wide solutions through speaker presentations and targeted focus groups. We will be there to showcase how we can help MAT's manage their schools' ICT effectively and help them build a smarter more secure workspace for the future. For more details, including the agenda or please visit our website.

exabytes - I'm currently organising a new technology in education conference to take place at The Midland Hotel, June 23rd in Bradford. It's a not-for profit event sponsored by Exa Education, with lots of hands-on workshops to share strategies for using technology in education. More information about the event is available at http://exa.is/exabytes If you're interested in the event and would like to know more - I'll be happy to answer your questions. While I've organised lots of training events for Computing and community events like Hack To The Future, Raspberry Jams etc. this is the first event of this kind that I've organised and I'd appreciate any support you can offer in terms of spreading news of the event. I'm a relative stranger on this forum, (occasional posts since 2011) and I would appreciate any suggestions or advice you can offer with regard to promoting, planning and organising the event. We're hoping to attract 200-300 delegates, but I have the feeling lots of people have other priorities at the moment.

The mini-site for the EduGeek Conference is now live at http://conf.edugeek.net and has extra info on what is going on. There are updates to come regarding sponsorship and there will be a way for you to join in on Thursday if you aren't there! Enjoy!
