Digital Skills Summer Camp If you know anyone aged 11-18 years that has an interest in technology, computers or digital skills, please pass on details of this free, two week long #DigitalSkillsCamp taking place at Exa Networks in Bradford from 1st-12th August. More details including registration form available at: https://exa.net.uk/ If any members of edugeek community would be interested in a visit to the camp at Exa HQ, I'd be happy to host you as a guest. We've run lots of similar style events over previous years and am happy to share insights and support others who may be interested in organising something similar. Other organisations offer tech camps around the UK, but this one is completely free. Can you help? We're also looking for Guest Speakers, Mentors and Judges. Guest Speakers might offer to give up a few minutes of their time to explain to the young people about their career in technology and their route. Mentors might agree to spend a half day or more supporting the young people with their projects. Judges agree to attend the final demonstration day on Friday 12th August to award certificates and prizes. exabytes - I'm currently organising a new technology in education conference to take place at The Midland Hotel, June 23rd in Bradford. It's a not-for profit event sponsored by Exa Education, with lots of hands-on workshops to share strategies for using technology in education. While I've organised lots of training events for Computing and community events like Hack To The Future, Raspberry Jams etc. this is the first event of this kind that I've organised and I'd appreciate any support you can offer in terms of spreading news of the event. I'm a relative stranger on this forum, (occasional posts since 2011) and I would appreciate any suggestions or advice you can offer with regard to promoting, planning and organising the event. We're hoping to attract 200-300 delegates, but I have the feeling lots of people have other priorities at the moment.

I've had a CASIO slim for about 4 years now, taken it everywhere with me, trains, planes etc. As a portable projector, you can't do much better. It's consistently brighter than any other projectors at places where I turn up to present. CASIO did lend me some as well for an event.

Spare monitors I was going to post beg, borrow or steal - but stealing is not to be encouraged. If you have 10 x flat screen monitors in your school that you would like to lend, sell or donate for a Girls in STEM event I'm running in Gateshead last week of January please get in touch. Monitors with DVI input would be perfect, but I'll settle for VGA if that's all that's on offer. I can collect from North West or North East.
