    Hi, We have a child at our school who requires a larger display of fonts, bigger mouse cursor, mouse cursors with trails etc... and I need to know how to set up a Group Policy setting that will allow these things to follow him round wherever he logs on. Is this possible? If so could someone point me in the right direction please?! x

    Hello, We have an Activ +2 board (orange projector model PRM-10) and it looks like we need to replace our projector. What's the best option? Obviously we don't want to be paying a huge amount and we recently got quoted over £500 just for a projector with mount. Granted it is a short throw but this still seems excessive. If anyone can help that will be great!

    Hi, I'm replacing some of our PC hard drives with SSD's and wondered how to transfer what's already on the PC to the new SSD? My question is can i image the current PC which is already connected to the domain by syprepping it and capturing an image with WDS and deploying that image back to the new hard drives?

    I'm going to jump in on this topic because we currently use Flip Cams in school and we're looking to get something better in- preferably something a little more rugged but no more than £80 - £100 each and also something that doesn't require video conversion to use in Movie Maker. x Any ideas?

    Hello! Just bought a couple of 4th gen iPod touch's and wondered, as they didn't come with USB wall chargers, if i could charge them using some of our Kodak camera USB wall chargers?

    I found a policy applied already... It looks like it had scheduled updates for Wednesdays at 12:00pm so i've changed it to Fridays at 4:00pm. We have over 200 machines so setting the Wake On Lan in the BIOS isn't an option to update them overnight (as much as i would love to!) I've also removed the 'install updates and shutdown' button from the shutdown menu for now.

    Hello. We've been having issues with users shutting down / booting up computers and windows updates sucking away their souls with 100's of updates, preventing them from using the computer until it has finished. HELP! How can i stop this from happening? I'm familiar with Group Policies and AD so help on this issue ASAP would be a life saver. I've already almost lost a limb because of gnashing teachers teeth...!!

    Yeah they were planning on charging us over £1000 for 7 machines. No thanks!! It seems to be something to do with the initial .ini files. Doing the same with FMS too. Anyway i'm slowly getting there- just copying the .ini files from working systems does the job!

    It gets an error- no DHCP servers available kind of error. If it comes to it i'll remove the card but is there no way of disabling it in the BIOS?

    Cheers for this x The laptop doesn't even SEE the server to connect- just waits and waits and then boots into the OS as normal. Weird. Could this be a driver issue?? I did have one that brought up a 'network driver missing' error type thing so i injected the drivers into the boot image and it worked. This one doesn't get that far...

    Hello, I have been using WDS successfully and capturing and deploying an image over PXE. Unfortunately i've got a laptop that just does not want to connect using PXE :/ Doesn't even connect to our server. I need to know a SIMPLE way, hopefully without the need for DOS, on how to take the captured image on our server, stick it on a or external hard drive and just image the laptop with it. Easy step by steps would be most appreciated!

    I have got it working now cheers guys- here's how: 1. Disabled UAC 2. Used Rawn's code, altered accordingly and put it in C:\Windows (to replace the one that was already there) 3. Ran Simsinst.exe 4. Rebooted 5. Ran Simsinst.exe again 6. Rebooted Awesome! Just for reference is there anyway of doing all this then saving it to an image? Or would you recommend just installing it this way on each upgraded machine?
