I met Jimmy Greaves and Geoff Hurst at my Mum's Office. Must have been late 70s, early 80s - These famous footballers went on to work in the Insurance industry after their career on the pitch finished. My Mum was their boss at the time! She was an Office Manager for Abbey Life. Jimmy Greaves took time to speak to me and showed off his fancy calculator (I must have been about 9 or 10) - I was a bit star struck at the time, he was a nice guy, really friendly and chatty. Geoff Hurst just really shook my hand and didn't say much.

Met Brian Jacks at a 'Judo Event', again when I was quite young. He picked people randomly from the young students sitting around the Judo mat watching his demonstration to 'have a go' - I ran at him at full pelt and just bounced off him! :D

I have met quite a few over the years, a random section that I can think of

I went to school with Brian Jacks' son and met Brian a few times. Nigel Benn used to live near me, spoke to him a few times.

Met a few footballers, I used to help a friend who is a TV camera man for Sky, had a couple of pints with Kevin Gallacher in the players bar at Filbert Street after an FA cup match. I once asked Michael Bentine (the Goons) if he knew any good jokes.

Met Alan Smith and thanked him for scoring the winning goal in the 1994 Cup Winners Cup final on my birthday.

Toyah Willcox lives in the same town as me, end up seeing her a few times a month.

I met Ali G and the Bigshow (wrestler) during my work experience at News International back in 2005. I was 15 and was blown away, live in London and we have Graham Norton and Helen Mirren who live nearby - see them every so often, most people just leave them to it.

Z-Listers/TV & Radio Presenters/Minor Celebrities - Met so many that I've lost count! lol! For some reason, I've bumped in to a lot of BBC staff, no idea why!

In terms of really famous people:

Princess Diana - Met her whilst I was in Primary School at Leicester in 1992.

Michael Atherton - Was a regular at my dad's newsagents in Paddington.

Jerry Springer - Dropped by dad's newsagents again.

Ricky Gervais - Met him at InfoSec (dunno why he was there!) He seemed quite annoyed that I didn't really seem interested in who he was!

Spencer Kelly (BBC Click) - Met him at InfoSec too.

A few Bollywood film stars - My late cousin was a Bollywood singer, so met a lot of stars through him.

A few others that don't come to mind right now :p

and I stood next to Steve Davies in a gents loo and had a wee.

How weird...I did that too! What made it seem stranger was that he was in full snooker gear as he has doing demonstrations at the launch of a game with his name on it...which shows how long ago it was...

We nearly met Jules Holland at the Bayles Museum in Bridlington. I'm taking two kids from each of our feeder schools to Worcester Cathedral next month so I expect I will nearly meet the Queen?

Stood next to Neil Finn at his son, Liams, concert - was too star struck to say anything though. Served Twiggy when I was at PC-World (and her husband (Mike Leigh (I think - director?))). Cannon and Ball visited PC-World while I was there. Served Joe Pesquali at a petrol station (yes that is his real voice). And Jimmy Carr at an after show signing. Edited by tmcd35
