  1. What have I been missing, can I be entered please ?
  2. My colleague / friend checked this and did some more digging around In the commands input file - on this line : ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 g0/0 He is advising instead of having g0/0 to use the ip address of the router so presumably the public facing ip address of 10.10.10.1 or maybe the internal ip address ?? Its assigning devices with ip addresses but still not able to browse or do anything on the internet
  3. Maybe but trying to see how its done on the cisco side of things - speaking of which , would be good if i could get some cisco kit. Got any kicking about or any suggestions you could make model wise that I could get off of ebay for not too much money ? Would like to have a go myself - might need more of ya help soon LOL
  4. Of course - will do as will no doubt need more of your expertise help
  5. Thanks @FN_GM - will let him know
  6. How do you do that exactly ?
  7. Hi There Got a friend who is trying to get this cisco router working at home ( They are with virgin media for Broadband ) , please see all the attached files within the zip file Just wanting to know if there is anything missing or not configured correctly ( all passwords have been blanked out for security reasons ) His laptop is connected to the cisco router using the interface that was configured for the internal network and is getting an ip address however it is not able to browse the internet or ping / trace route to any websites / servers etc Cisco 2851.zip
  8. Set the PDF Writer printer as default and show how to do this or make a guide on how the user(s) can do this and then go through the module or whatever process to create and print out the cert Once done just change default printer back and done
  9. I know this does not help this time around re the print job being stuck in the print que and not actually printing out but going forwards could you not install a PDF Writer of some description onto her machine / laptop so when it asks her to print, she selects the pdf writer so it saves a pdf copy of said certificate and then she can open the pdf copy to print this out ?? Cute PDF or similar
  10. Not sure how much this will help but 1) If you have bitlocker enabled - suspend this from within windows, preferably from a domain admin account 2) Go into the bios and confirm what mode the SATA Mode is in ie AHCI / Compatability or IDE Mode and make a note of this or remember what mode it is set to 3) disconnect all power sources ( battery / mains power ) and then if there is a cmos / coin battery you could disconnect, then disconnect this for about 5 to 10 mins or so ( long enough so it forgets all settings ) to basically reset bios to defaults 4) Install new ram - may want to try swapping the memory modules around and see if the slots they are inserted into makes any difference ? 5) Re-connect the cmos / coin battery 6) re connect either or both the laptop battery and the mains power and power the laptop on - it will most likely moan about the Date / Time being wrong and you may also need to set the SATA Mode back to the correct setting as per step 2 7) Save and exit the bios Is that still the same ?

  12. Could be wrong but thought you used the airport extreme app / utility to configure the airport express devices as well Either disable wifi on the sky router and use the express to do wifi or set them on different channels Not sure if this will help but on my airport extreme , in the search domain settings I have set this to Home Put dns to the ip address of the sky hub for primary dns which is 192.168.0.1 I think. If you want set secondary to google dns ( 8.8.8.8 ) @Arthur - any other suggestions?
  13. What ssd did you get and how much did it cost etc I am contemplating either a 512gb 850 pro or the 850 evo by samsung I am bidding on a 2012 mini now. Find out on saturday if I win it or not lol
  14. Sent a message to see if I could possibly make an offer or buy it now as hate bidding
  15. What about this one : Apple Mac Mini (Late2012 ModelA1347) & Apple wireless Keyboard & Magic trackpad | eBay
  16. I don't have an issue with doing it like you say regards to guides on ifixit / youtube and the likes. I need help finding a great bargain on ebay if that is possible for a 2012 mac mini with an i5 or i7 and standard config and if possible with an apple keyboard and touchpad ( magic touchpad ) and I will purchase the 16gb RAM and SSD myself, I can and will add an additional hard drive using a ribbon cable kit etc later on. Thanks guys - just need help finding a bargain It will more than likely be an i5 cpu which is fine for what I will use it for. Found this one but no keyboard or touchpad etc : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-Mac-Mini-Core-i5-2-5GHz-8GB-RAM-500GB-HD-Late-2012-/181942112436? I am just struggling to confirm if they are 2012 mac mini's or not as some of the processor speeds don't seem correct etc, just want to ensure that what I am ordering on ebay is actually a 2012 mac mini, and not 2011 or something else
  17. Which is why I want the 2012 model as want to upgrade RAM and then replace the original factory hard drive to an SSD Possibly looking at an i5 model which are cheaper than the i7 models, an i5 is more than good enough for what I will use it for, air play , itunes and watching movies and maybe some other things. My best bet is ebay then basically ?
  18. I have the tools so Torx etc For now just swap original HDD to an SSD and up the RAM to 16gb Any chance of anyone finding some good deals regardless of ebay / apple site / krcs or any where else ? Hoping to have a bluetooth apple keyboard and magic touchpad included if possible Am hoping to buy the ram and ssd seperately
  19. Hi In the market and looking for a 2012 mac mini, just wanted to know 1) What sites should I be looking on to get me a reasonable one in terms of price etc, so far have looked on ebay / apple re furbed and krcs, not sure if there are any other sites I could look on or at ? 2) How easy are the 2012 mac mini's to upgrade as far as RAM and storage ie SSD / hard drives etc ? Price wise I am hoping for around £400 or there abouts, For that amount am I better off looking at a 2011 mac mini ? Was just hoping for USB 3 and faster RAM etc @Arthur or anyone else Thanks
  20. Just a couple of thoughts - not sure how much help or use they will be but anyways 1) On any of the macs ( either the heads or any of the ones in the suite ) from a terminal if you use nslookup ( or whatever command it is ) to basically use DNS to lookup hostname to ip address and ip address to hostname, does that work both ways ? 2) In your proxy settings , you said you entered the proxy server details ..... If you use the ip address of the proxy server on whatever port is required and if any authentication settings are required , does that help or make any difference so that it doesn't have to use DNS to resolve the proxy servers host name to an ip address etc ? 3) Does safari or any web browser give you any prompts for logon details or anything like that ?
