iPad Repair Service ? Any Recommendations ?

I would never use public transport again if I can avoid it , like @abillybob says - once you have had a car / your own transport , being without it feels like you lose some of your freedoms as can't just go ok , leaving in my car now, see you in 30 mins or whatever, gotta pay more money on public transport and then you can only give a rough time of when you will get there and when you arrive to that area then you still have to walk or get a taxi etc thus costing more When you drive, you just drive from your house outside your front door directly to where ever it is you need to go. I live 18 miles away from work and if I had to use public transport I would need to either get someone to pick me up from the bus or train station and come to work from Northampton town. Even if there are buses that go near here I would still have a 30 min walk and it is just a PITA Also like abillybob said regards to family relying on you if they need to go doctors / hospital / other appointments etc and you are without a car, you can't get them anywhere or help them. Guess you just have to have a car for a while and then try and go back to public transport and then maybe you will realise how bad public transport ( at least in my opinion ) is in the UK in comparison to say Australia or other countries

Never been with them, been with Elephant / Admiral / and now Octagon. Been with Octagon for a few years now, my renewal is due end of March / Start of April so will see who offers me the best deal in April and go with them. Can't say or comment on how good they are as not had to claim etc

Yep - a used apple that is cheaper and like you say the money doesn't go to apple directly and it's a win win situation ( at least imo )

Why choose one over the other if you can have all platforms

1) Apple Refurb Store 2) KRCS - they normally have ex demo or refurbed stock etc 3) Amazon 4) EBay - although I would take your time and go through ebay items to ensure that the seller has a store and all the usual stuff to ensure you don't get ripped off / conned etc. Pay by credit card if possible, if you can't then get one of those credit cards where you pay the cash onto it and that way you should have a bit more protection on any purchases or maybe use someone elses credit card and give them the cash for buying the item for you ? As above purchase one from 2012 or there abouts, the newer macs as far as I am aware ( on at least some of the models are set as what ever you purchase at the time ) so if you buy a mac mini with 4gb of ram and an i5 cpu then you can't upgrade it versus if its a slightly older model like 2012 or there abouts then I believe they should be a bit more upgradable. @Arthur and a few others might be able to correct me if I am wrong and or give you some other better advise / suggestions etc ?

I'm sure there was a thread on edugeek quite some time ago about setting up coding enviroments in a virtual machine on each pc and configured the vm in such a way that there was no network connectivity between the vm and the actual host OS and or PC and the only way they could save there work was to map a drive from the VM to there PC and or home drive so they could save any coding work and continue with it in lessons as and when. I think it was this post : http://www.edugeek.net/forums/how-do-you-do/95325-virtualbox-image-programming-classes.html

As @Oaktech mentioned previously I think Reclaime is aprox £50 give or take a bit , so not overly expensive for data recovery and works very well ReclaiMe File Recovery Software

Thanks @Arthur. I was trying to figure out why that random amount lol.

Bump Just in case anyone missed this thread

Yeah I would agree with this - better to have time off work than get points on your license etc. Never knew about 3 points per tyre if it is bald or not enough tread etc. Good to know

Which insurance company you with ? Call and complain to your insurance company as that's just rubbish ref paying £30 for £15 worth of fuel and also providing a courtesy car thats not legal and having to use ya own windscreen wash etc

I was about to mention this as do remember this being mentioned a few times and hearing a lot of good feedback about this. Also was going to say testdisk / photo rec as well which is by cgsecurity ( although this has been mentioned already ) lol So only thing I can say is to buy a new hard drive - that would fix the corrupted one or replace it lol

Thanks @plexer and @fairm010
