  1. Certainly, they have tried and in some cases succeeded to shut down some open source products to try and dominate the market. And, If you have older handsets especially Yealink, they appear to be unsupported/Legacy - not everyone replaces handsets. We have some handsets that are 2 or 3 years old and they are now Unsupported/Legacy as far as 3CX is concerned.
  2. We run 3CX, you can deploy it on a Debian image if you so wish though ours is Windows based. Though I will say, we are moving away from 3CX as they have of late, adopted some shady tactics. Looking at deploying FusionPBX. https://www.fusionpbx.com/ Testing it as we speak.
  3. I'm looking into FusionPBX https://www.fusionpbx.com/
  4. Am i supposed to install this client or server side? Installed on my Windows 10 PC tried to manage A server 2016 server and I get failed to connect, PC and Server on same domain.
  5. Hi all This may seem like a simple thing, but for the life of me, I cant get find any way to disable the Network icon in explorer. Anyone got a definitive how to? Found some info on 2012 but it's either not there in 2016 or it doesn't work. Ta.
  6. WOuld it not be easier to just use 3CX phone? and use the handset in CTI Mode?
  7. Zabbix/ Graylog with Grafana. PRTG is good but expensive. 100 Sensors soon gets used!
  8. We have used this in the past to deploy VNC: https://www.bozteck.com/venm/ We also use iTalc/Veyon
  9. We have this in place with our cloud desktop solution, though you VPN in first then RDP into the server running RDS. Drive mapping works perfect as does passing through printers etc. I dont see why mapping networks drives over VPn would be an issue?
  10. If you are having to remote in try and use a VPN (Pfsense+ OpenVPN is free), RDP works, but shouldn't really be advertised to the internet these days, though RD Gateway is a better solution.
  11. We manage Business IT, and have done exactly this, in stages, leave 2003 live while you transfer everything over - then test on new server. Once your happy then demote the 2003 DC and use new server(s). Things like tasks, roles, shares etc can all be moved over in stages if you so wish. Although we have gone straight to 2016. Go 2012 R2 if you want to but going 16 means you wont have to have a planned upgrade when you need to move off of 2012.
  12. We use PFSense across the board here, at almost every site we manage. Let me know if you require any assistance. - - - Updated - - - No, It doesnt. Because you have to install it and upon installation you have to configure your Interfaces etc. There's no universal/generic install.
  13. Sorted drove her back, Insurnace where fine. Doesnt have to have a valid MOT for insurance.
  14. Do you know... ive just got the insurance sorted (cheaper than I thought) so I may just do this to be honest. Ta
  15. Hi all In a bit of a predicament with a new car I'm purchasing. Owner (who I know well) has moved to Spain and needs rid of his car back here in UK, which im interested in but it is without MOT and the silly sausage has misplaced the V5 so cant tax it (not that you can anyway without MOT). Does anyone know anyone near Spalding, PE11 that could pick the car up for me and bring it to Hull either on trailer, flatbed or trade plates? car is roadworthy, MOT has only lapsed due to owner being in Spain. I am in posession of said cars keys. Thanks in advance
  16. Hi all, Came in this morning to a Zabbix database connection error. I've narrowed it down to an error in /var/log/mariadb/mariadb.og which says the following: [ERROR] here on pastebin: https://pastebin.com/NieL3BSS Unsure what to do next! Thanks in advance
  17. CentOS... Love CentOS! Boing..... here ya go: https://www.rootusers.com/how-to-join-centos-linux-to-an-active-directory-domain/
  18. Strange, Ive never seen any ad's and have never had 'slow internet' on my Chrome on my Phone..... Still, prsonal preference and all that
  19. We have it setup so if a company calls us that we deal with it comes up on the Yealink display as the company name, not sure how you would import that - we have only ever entered the numbers/details in manually into the 3CX phone book, if you don't want people to dial directly you can put rules in on 3CX for extensions, so you would assing a rule to an extension. FOr the life of me I cant remember how to do this, I think its in the Advanced Exceptions on the Extension options... you may need to submit a ticket.
  20. I don't think I'll be ditching Chrome anytime soon, I like the way it follows me around, on phone and my machines. I go to work I have my bookmarks synced, I go home and they are synced etc... I'm not too fussed about anyone spying or knowing what I look at on the internet etc, like they would be interested in the like sof you and me anyway - have nothing at all to hide.
  21. What is only supported for 18 months? Server 2016? Ta.
  22. Hi All, Just putting a plan together to revamp our Remote Desktop strategy, Looking at RD Gateway and not sure how it would work for us though it is a better solution than what we have at the moment. We have 3 or 4 Domains in different Virtual Machines within the network... Would RD Gateway be able to work with multiple domains? if say CompanyA\User wanted access it would pass them through to that domain as well as CompanyB through to their VM on there domain etc? Or are we going to need a separate RD Gateway server for each domain? Hopefully, I have conveyed that correctly. Thanks
  23. Dont think we do unfortunately. - - - Updated - - - How much did it cost? I'll check the product out. Ta.
  24. Hi all, Might be a bit of a strange one, I'm looking for a program or a suite of software that will basically monitor changes made to a server system. This has come up because of an issue we have had with a 3rd party altering their software on one of our servers, rendering the software to not work as it should - the response from the company is 'you have an environmental issue not caused by us'. Strange because this software has worked for the past 5 years with 0 issues. It's only when this change was done it now doesnt work. So, I'm looking for software (pref open source/free) that will create a log (locally/off-site?) of any system changes made to programs/files/folders & directories. One of the problems with this software is access denied, so somewhere a permission / set of permissions has been changed (not by us) but no idea where. If we had some sort of log I could go and revert the changes. Or anything I can enable within Windows? Any Ideas? Thanks in advance.
