I have the above sitting on my desk suffering form a no sound issue. I presume these have sound built in ? All drivers seem to be installed. OS is Windows 10 Pro. (Fresh Load) Sounds works if you use the usual green port. Volume is set to highest. TIA

Why do Samsung ruin their phones with poor software?
cpjitservices replied to FN-GM's topic in General Chat
I am having a weird issue with my phone, Samsung Galaxy S6, Latest version of Droid. Its the Facebook app (yes I know... its un-important), I use Facebook for business use and the really annoying thing it does is - I see posts from people, if I comment I just get the "posting" and it never really posts. also if I try to post in my groups I can create a post add pics or whatever but when I click post it sends me back to my main Facebook page (timeline?). If I reboot my phone, everything goes back to normal then sporadically it will fail again Very Very annoying!!!! Have tried factory reset to no avail. Any Ideas ? - - - Updated - - - I am having a weird issue with my phone, Samsung Galaxy S6, Latest version of Droid. Hyper-V Checkpoints Corrupted VM
cpjitservices replied to Zoom7000's topic in Thin Client and Virtual Machines
Checkpoints in Hyper-V is a bad idea anyway and should only be used for test & dev, dont rely on them entirely. Also, watch the AVHDX files as they end up growing and growing and growing. https://blog.workinghardinit.work/2014/08/25/3-ways-to-deal-with-lingering-hyper-v-checkpoints-formerly-known-as-snapshots/ -
Ill be the first to say I know nothing at all about bitcoins or how much they are worth, but we have struggled to get graphics cards lately for gaming builds apparently due to high demand by bit miners for graphics cards
-
yeah there where stories of people having there account hacked and the bitcoins gone. was a while ago like but still.
-
is the bitcoin business a load of old hat now and not worth anything ?

Using Wiki For IT Documentation
cpjitservices replied to cpjitservices's topic in How do you do....it?
Ah right - I'm on fiber connection 100up and 100 down so should be quick enough but maybe where you are located as you say. As for resolution, that hasn't happened to me but I do have rather large screens. Good shout about the Warranty info and serial numbers - very good indeed. The template that is currently on there is only for demo but have noted what you have suggested for the final build. -
Hi all I've been on with a little experiment, build and use MediaWiki to use for IT Documentation. Basically, We have an online database hosted with Knack on the internet. I've been trying to figure out a way to get away from this and keep everything in house and I may have found my answer. Our database has Info on our customers, we manage about 40 in the local area. I've created a basic template where we can input usernames and passwords / email addresses and passwords and any equipment logins and IP's. Basically, all information regarding management of IT for that company. I've a nice visual editor extension to make it all really easy, to A) add new companies and B) edit exiting company info such as adding a new user. Hosted on my home server currently so apologies for lack of domain name. http://77.86.33.157:8001/mediawiki Login with Admin:wikiadmin Let me know what you think. Ta.

Great Idea if you want the bus to wait for 3 to 4 hours whilst it charges at either end - the current BMW offering combines petrol and battery, fully charged the full range of the batteries is 25 miles give or take if you want to keep up with traffic. I cant imagine the size of the batteries a bus is going to need.

Hi all, Like cars ? .... I do. So I created a new group. Mainly with content to do with old / vintage / classic vehicles. British motor industry stories and stories from classic car owners. Restoration help and advice from the people who have done it themselves. Anyway come along share stories and photos of your classic cars if you so wish and share stories of motoring capers! There will be/is also modern car content also. Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/motorjunk I have also created a youtube channel which will also include reviews and talks of cars from my own fleet, as well as help and how-to videos.... content coming soon! Thanks

Not a Ghost story but when my Gran was in hospital I went to see her. She wasn't going to come home. She was 91. The weirdest thing happened. I knew she was leaving us, but I had to get home 90 miles away so had to leave, so I leant over the bed to kiss her. The room was fairly bright and she was with us, just. She said something like 'Im here Sid'. I'm not Sid. My Grandad was Sid and he died in '96. To this day I wonder, what did she see ? She knew I was there as she had been mumbling to me and said my name once or twice - she'd been quiet for about 30 mins before I left.

ScreenConnect for the win we love it here, copy and paste just works from/to what ever you are accessing. the ability to store credentials for machines you often access so no need for a password Very good software, and its fast.
-
Nah stick with it, Class A is really irrelevant. Its more determined by your Subnet mask than IP. Whats your mask ? are you using a /24 bit mask ?
-
Can you boot it into Troubleshooting mode see if it freezes ? Hold shift whilst pressing restart. Try going into CMD and running SFC /scannow or DISM /cleanup-image /restorehealth
