Well A Portscan would still detect it, What I would do is build an SSH Tunnel key auth, then once you've logged into your SSH Tunnel RDP internally through to your servers. Power lines don't work if the power is on a different ring, I'd run Ethernet - you can get armoured cable. Run it along a fence or something this is what I have done for my cameras down to my garage.
