I'm probs looking at spending 1-2 grand max in the beginning - includes van and costs to get it road worthy if it needs anything and one or two changes to the inside to prepare it for being converted. I dont need to convert it straight away as its not going ot be used for a long time yet anyway - least not until the summer months. So spending a huge amount at the moment seems like nonsense. I do have a little one on the way too and a house to save for lol. Gumtree local and ebay. Loads of high top LWB vans for sale below the 1k mark. High mileage but that doesnt bother me in the slightest. - - - Updated - - - Cost I guess, upfront anyway.

Are they ? Which one do you refer too ? I have a 2.0 HDI Picasso with over 200,000 miles on the clock and still pulls like a train... oh and its not the first one either my last 2.0 HDI was on 367,000 miles before I scrapped it (body work)

Yep, cool. Wont change the cockpit at all and seats will all have 3 point on them. As for rear windows. most of the High Top LWB's have side windows so that shouldnt be an issue. MDF sounds the way to go though, caravan works here sell caaravan interiors for a few hundred sheets to be used as camper conversions. Might have a word, As for weight, yeah good point. MDF light enough somewhere to sit etc. Cant see that being an issue as wont be too heavy I dont think especially with the caravan interior. the 2.5 Ford Diesel has a fair amount of torque hopefully it wont hamper it too much. Hi all, Anyone ever done a camper van conversion ? Something me and the wife have looked at as we like to travel a bit. Something I've always liked the idea of is being able to jump in go anywhere you like and not have to worry about hotels etc. I was thinking of one of the high top LWB Transits - around 05-06 plate. Vans are fairly cheap (less than a grand typically), the vehicle wont be used a lot of the year so repairs / maintenance will be carried out as and when it needs it. Are there any rules / regulations I need to be aware regarding insurance or other ? PS: On my license I can't tow but I can drive a van aslong as it does not exceed 3.5 tonnes.

Better, I cant recall a single Citroen/Pu that spontaneously combusts....

ahhh thanks, though... I don't often use 365. Messagstream mainly so I wonder whether the import service would still work.

As far as I can see there is no quick fire way of doing it, create new accounts on 365. Then in Outlook on the Exchange accounts export to PST. New Mail Profile, add 365 account and import PST. Please enlighten me if anyone knows of a better way.

For those who might be interested. Check out Syncthing. https://syncthing.net/ Very handy Sync tool, for any sort of data. Encrypted end to end. In my scenario I am using it to backup one or two offsite client servers to one of our storage servers. Seems to be working a treat.

Why is Aerial in the loft ? Can you not mount it on chimney stack or similar, When I was putting up my Aerial I connected it up on the ground to mount Just under the gutter on the house, I could get all the channels with it laid on the floor if nothing else. - stuck it in loft as a test one day and got barely anything. I think they are recommended to be mounted as high up outdoors as poss.
