We had one of these in for a test and it worked well...BUT...the screen is so reflective it's distracting. In fact, I you can see how reflective they are from the pics in this blog. Installed in our staffroom, we could see the windows, trees and buildings outside and everyone IN the staffroom behind you. And shutting blinds defeats the object of these in the first place. Projector screens are matt and don't suffer from this.

Yep. We do iMedia here and some kids have over a GB of movies, audio and pics already and they're only in year 9... No duplicates - I'm spending a lot of time clearing stuff off the network just to keep running, though. I'm expecting to pay anything up to around 30k for this.

OK, I'm running out of storge, I don't want to buy any more DC's, I'm on CC3 so upgrading my current servers is going to cost me most of my appendages. So I want a SAN. I hear that Sun do a good one, but I'm open to offers. Would require 2 new DC's to go with it and 5TB storage to start off with. MUST have plenty of upgradability. The idea is to create a new domain with this kit, and for us to do the data migration once all is set up and working. Quote me happy

You'll see a massive improvement in picture quality at 480p over the supplied composite cable. Less so over an RGB scart connection. I wouldn't bother with the official lead - it's too expensive. Most third-party ones should be fine.

7am to 3pm. I then pick my little kiddies up from nursery. I have remote access from home, but won't use it in anything other than a real emergency. I have a busy family life outside work and far better things to do than sit in front of a PC after leaving work for the day

Ooooh, they're bonkers, them. Drove a few when I worked for a Honda garage. Much fun to be had once you get it up to 6000rpm at which point it goes balistic.

It does have autofocus. All DSLR's do.
