Perhaps consider switching from terrestrial to Hosted SIMS saves a heap of hassle and adds a lot of flexibility.

LCWS would be my choice. They have recycled a heap of redundant kit for me over the years, incidentally including such things as old TV sets all for Free. In the past I have removed HDs stripped them down, removed the platters and destroyed those and included the non-platter bits in the collection. I know the last contact I had with them they mentioned their process can now include bringing a bit of kit in their truck which will destroy platters on site if needed and they happily provide certification. Great people.

If you are signed up to Impero for the year then part of that is accessing their superb support. When I was working an Impero setup never once did I seek their support without a speedy resolution - pretty often through a remote session which actually taught me a thing or ten in the process.

No way should you be considering funding it yourself. Sounds like your server location (like mine!) is mightily small. We had a fab install of a suitable Air Con unit for under £2K. Should be relatively easy to convince the budget team of the need it you get some data from the server manufacture etc.

Replace the failing hard drive for sure I'd say. We had one actually failed over the weekend and when I swapped it out yesterday found the case was hot, hot, hot.

Today we had a hard drive swapped out under warranty. The server manufacturer is looking for the old hard drive to be collected by their courier tomorrow and returned to them. Clearly, there is no chance of securely wiping the disk before return and their policy stipulates no drilling or dismantling. The hard drive was physically HOT when I hot-swapped it so I'm sure it has blown but what advice is there coming from this Forum re GDPR implications of returning it, as it is, please?

Another + for Airserver it is superb and peanuts in comparison for what you would be paying for something like Apple TV.

Thanks, @Steve21 she has it running on her phone, which I'm pretty sure is Android, with the yellow on black and she tells me that makes a huge difference. She was asking me if she could have similar on Microsoft Office apps and it is not something I am at all up on.
