I can add a +10 for Stone.

I've used them at my secondary school for the last 2-3 years. All stations very high quality, 5yr on-site next business day warranty (which we've not used a great deal of, but when it has been needed it's been excellent)

I've used them in a couple of our Primary Schools too.

Honestly nothing negative I can say about them!

Give Jamie a ring on 01785 285648 - tell him MarkB from Cornwall sent you! (We might both get a discount!) :)

Nothing bad to say about Stone at all, we had an issue with them at one point but we sorted it after some long telephone calls.

Their base units however are the best of quality and I'm currently using one!

i have found stone computers to be the best so far, they tend to use intel m/boards, which are dull, and dependable. no real problems here, the only thing i would say is try and go for full size atx desktops if poss, as smaller ones tend to run hotter.

At the schools i have worked at we have had problems with voltage surges, up to 265 volts some days, and these desktops have always taken the stick, whilst others fell down dead, and were replaced by stone pcs.

Always highly rated their technical support. The few times I've had to call them in the past, they've been helpful and not forced me to go through "The script" with them, when diagnosing faults.

Not had to call them for about 3 years though.

Agreed, their support is excellent. You speek to a human being, and if you tell them to fault stems from a certain component they'll send and engineer (next day) with that component.

Speak to Jamie Stewart, he's a nice chap (if a bit strange).

+1.

Their engineers are always nice chaps, too. Makes a big difference.

Support is 2nd to none, but they have a habit of choosing componants which dont work well together. We are onto batch number 3 of which the keyboards regulaly dont get picked up. Really starting to get on my wick as thats what i pay them for; so that I dont have to worry about compatibility issues, flashing BIOS' etc.

It may just be me but on paper my stone workstations are absolute flying machines, in real life they are pretty god damn slow!

We bought 12 stone PC's last year and as of yet they are pretty impressive and not had to ring up for any hardware support as of yet - 4 or 5 year warranty with all PC's as standard I think.

Same as everyone else I have been using stone here for Five and half years they are excellent for their support when required which isn't often but is nearly always next day. Again five years warranty on their kit now which is very good. They perform really well overall, their engineers & Sales people are very friendly not pushy at all no endless phone calls or emails if you have a quote off them.

In all I would highly recommend them.

I've just started using Stone computers, and brought 36 of their all in one PCs in December. So far so good, and the couple that we have had problems with were swiftly fixed by on-site engineer the next day.

Very impressed so far, and I would recommend them.

We've got a couple of hundred Stone PCs, the big 150 PC batch is now coming up 3 years old in the summer and they're still performing very well.

We had a big problem regarding graphics card fans siezing up in 50 of the machines in eary December, a couple of weeks later a couple of chirpy engineers were out with 50 brand new fanless upgraded graphics cards :) Very good service.

We had 7 sites that had Stone machines on, mainly sites that came from the Council, from what I dealt with they seemed to be good systems, prefered the Dell as it is what I am used to dealing with support wise.

We've got a 25 strong laptop suite from them - so far, machines have been ace. Tech support is first rate, engineers are great too. They're even sending me the parts so I can do them if needs be.

Yep, thumbs up from here as well. we have 50 PC's from them and they are great! We also got them in customised metal encasements to stop little fingers taking them apart and all they have access to is the power button :D
