Hi Everyone, We've just had SIMS Mobile installed to 6 PDAs we have in our school for use by supply teachers and the PE department, but we're slightly concerned by the security or abuse issues PDAs bring with them. What I'm trying to find is a soloution that would allow me to lock the PDAs down in terms of what they can be used for, or preferably make the users have to log in to the PDA. I believe this can be done using Windows Mobile 6.1 with Mobile Services Manager, but our PDAs are on Windows Mobile 6 Classic. Do any of you have any experience with this or know of anything i could try? Even if i can force the PDA to load SIMS Mobile on boot and not be able to close it that could be an option. No they are badged as stone, as jason says they do custom specifications ones. I personally wouldnt buy the hardware again, although when needed the support has been excellent.

We recently bought a batch of 113 stone laptops and 3 stone small format desktops, and we've had nothing but problems since day one. The laptops have had issues with motherboards, we have had to have a couple replaced, and also the screens seem fragile. One of the hard drives in the desktops died within a month and they are very noisy, too noisy to put in an office or classroom in my opinion.
