Hi Steve thanks for that. We have google apps for edu set up so that will deal with most of the work aspects but we also separately have an online access to our MIS and that is the area where I think screen size might be a bit more key if they want to spend time working on that. Regards Martin.

Hi all Our SMT are looking at buying a set of mobile devices for the team to give them mobile access, I was curious as to which route other schools might have gone down. We will be looking at mainly text / email but also some remote accessibility so I feel the screen size will be critical in our decision making process. Regards Kury

Hi Moriaty We have gone down this line, pretty much for the reasons you outlined. Unfortunately one can't crystal ball gaze too much when it comes to Microsoft, Google et al but I think that even if they change the scheme they would have something comparable as they seem keen to embed their software in schools and the cheaper they make it the more likely this is going to happen. IMHO I would go with it but you could always ensure that it is understood from the outset that this is based on the current scheme that could be subject to change. Regards Kury
