Popular Post VeryPC Posted March 10, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 10, 2022 Hey EduGeeks! With only a matter of days to go until we hit the Bett Show once more, we thought we’d give you an exclusive first entry to the exciting new giveaway that we’re going to be doing on our stand. That’s stand SE11 if you’re attending, by the way! We’ve excelled ourselves this year and gone bigger than EVER. We’re giving away this custom-built esports Gaming PC worth over a whopping £4,000. Yep, you read that right. £4,000! It's packed full of the power and performance you'll need in 2022 and here's just a small selection of what's inside: Intel® Core™ i7-12700KF Asus ROG Strix Z690-F Gaming WiFi Motherboard Kraken X53 RGB 240mm Liquid Cooler 2x Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum RGB Black 32GB 5600MHz DDR5 2x 2TB Western Digital SN850 Black NVMe SSD (M.2) Nvidia Geforce RTX 3090 24GB Graphics Card So, how do you enter? You simply need to comment on this thread and tell us what you’d do with this beauty of a machine. You’ll also be able to get extra entries into the competition by visiting us in person at Bett. Being scanned by a member of the VeryPC team counts as an entry into the competition as does taking a selfie on the stand with one of our team and then posting it on social media using the hashtag #VeryPCAtBett2022. That makes a total of 3 potential entries per person! Good luck and if you’re attending Bett 2022 then we’ll see you there! - Team VeryPC 12
supportman Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Awesome prize! To be honest I would play games on this thing 3
Accura2k7 Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Nice machine that, I would give this to my Son who is struggling on with his old computer and not complaining at all about it! He is a good lad 2
RLR Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 I would use this PC for myself so I can finally play some modern games again. My current PC has a 10 year old CPU in it. Surprised it's held up this long. I've only been able to play some current games due to a friend lending me a graphics card he doesn't use anymore! Tried playing Path of Exile but my PC bottlenecks on the cpu when there's lots going on. This PC would allow me to play games without stutter and even challenge my son who has a better PC than me at the moment (and he's 9 years old!). 2
DalekSec Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Not going to lie, probably play Age of Empires 2 and not make the most of the horsepower, only thing i miss since going to Mac! 3
Jawloms Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 As a big Minecrafter, this is probably a bit overkill so I'd give it to my son and have his current setup! 2
TD87 Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Great prize, I would have to work out how to convince my wife we need a new monitor! See you at Bett. 2
Steve101 Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 I'd put it up in the loft never to be seen again. 2
clareq Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 As it is probably slightly larger than my bungalow, it would probably go to my son. 2
tg12 Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 If I won it? Stroke it? Tell it I love it? That it's my favourite child gadget? Oh and play games on it, I suppose 2
Norphy Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 (edited) Attempt to disable the blikenlighten then go mad and play some games that I've not had the chance to since I stopped playing games heavily. With 12 cores, 20 threads, 64GB RAM and 4TB storage, I'd also get a VMware Workstation license and do some serious lab virtualisation! Edited March 10, 2022 by Norphy 2
bald_pig Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 I'd probably use it to get my behind into gear and start streaming like I keep saying I'm going to start doing! Oh, and photoshopping things for competitions of course 3
River Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 I'd sell it and use the money to fund my book buying addiction 4
Dan2025 Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Would likely force me to upgrade my monitors to maximise it's potential and then play something like Minecraft. 2
mdrabble Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Wonder how much I would get for that graphics card on ebay......... On a serious note, would make an awesome media server, gaming rig, HyperV test rig. 2
hardtailstar Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 I'd redcorate my home office, buy a larger monitor and stuff to become the next biggest streamer playing farming world whilst being sponsored by @VeryPC and go onto make millions until my untimely demise in the farming industry because of the unfair prices of crops and animals due to cheap foriegn imports. Whilst my farming buisness was on it knees, I'd diversify my farm land to be able to farm new crops and reinvest my remaining money to try and recover my loses of the previous farming year. All in all, it looks bleak for that save of the game. Whilst streaming I'll create a world wide phenomenon of the game 'Tractor'* where I become the grand high master and unbeatable for multiple years. TRACTOR!! *first person to see a tractor shouts 'Tractor' and wins a point. Tractors cannot be called twice and any machinery that is called as 'Tractor' but is seen to not be a tractor means a minus point. 2
HarryMonkey Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 I would finally have something that I can run Photoshop and Lightroom simultaneously, as well as being able to run the new noise reduction AI from Olympus. (I could also probably turn one of the radiators off too). 2
bigstan48 Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Virtual host, gaming and normal surfing - will go with my three monitor setup :-) 2
steveg Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 I might be able to play a game that was released in the last 10 years with that, slightly better than my current pc! 2
seaweed Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Would be a great replacement for my 5 years old budget gaming laptop which struggles playing modern games. 2
F_admin Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 I'd put it to good use playing basically anything and everything, and playing around with VMs. 2
djm968 Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 (edited) I don't do gaming so I would look at auctioning this beast off, with the proceeds going to UNICEF to assist with their humanitarian efforts, helping to keep children and families safe, where their lives have been torn apart by the conflict in Ukraine. NB - This is not a political post in any way, shape or form, just saying what I would do with it! Edited March 10, 2022 by djm968 2
Ditto Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 I'd be a much better gamer with it ... oh, and make my boys green with envy.... mwahahaha! 2
